Monday night the North High School Choir Department
presented their first concert of the year. The concert featured
the men's choir, treble choir, concert choir and chamber
choir, as well as a musical selection that featured more than
100 members of the choral department singing together.
The choir delighted the audience with the following pieces:
Wayfaring Stranger, Heaven Unfolding, Bombela, Sloop John
B., He Lives In You, Dear Theodosia, Rise Up, When the Party's
Over, Attention, When the Earth Stands Still, Down to the
River to Pray/Bring Me Little Water Silvy, and Hamba Nathi.
North students did a beautiful job showing off their work and

HUSKY
WEARHOUSE GET INTO THE SCHOOL
SPIRIT
The Husky WearHouse provides Husky apparel
to all students at North High School because
when students feel included and connected to
school, they are more likely to participate in the
school community and achieve success.
BUSY HOMECOMING
WEEK Homecoming week in the Husky WearHouse
was a HUGE sucess! We had 38 students shop
and choose Husky Clothing for the week’s
festivities. The entire month of October saw a lot
of activity in the WearHouse, and we’re thrilled
to have helped so many North students.
DONATIONS NEEDED
NOW Because of the increase in traffic in the
WearHouse, our supply of sweatshirts and
hoodies has been almost completely wiped out.
Please consider donating your Husky clothing to
the WearHouse. We promise it will find its way
to a great home!
Contact Janelle Patenaude with questions: 715-
852-6607.
FOOD PANTRY LOCATED IN STUDENT SERVICES
NORTH FOOD PANTRY
RECEIVES DONATION Jerry Shay from Ruby’s Pantry at the
Lutheran Church of the Good
Shepherd donated $850 last week to
the North High School Food Pantry.
THANK YOU to the Smetana Family, Husky Alumni, for
donating 10 jars of peanut butter to
the Food Pantry.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO
HELP OUT WITH THE
NORTH FOOD PANTRY?
Contact Janelle Patenaude at 715-
852-6607 or [email protected].
THANK YOU to the Jarzynski Family (Football Coach
Jarzynski’s parents) for donating 6
bags FULL of food to the Husky
WearHouse. This is the third time the
Jarzynski Family has donated.
GENEROSITY
BUILDING & STRENGTHENING OUR HUSKY COMMUNITY The best part about the Husky
WearHouse is watching the
smiles light up the room as
students choose which clothing
item they’d like to have. It’s
equally as wonderful to watch
student volunteers find so much
joy in helping their peers.

HALLOWEEN
GUIDELINES AT NORTH
Halloween is just around the corner.
One of the many traditions at North
High School is the wearing of
Halloween costumes. Please
remind your students to be mindful
of the district dress code as they
start to design a costume for the
31st. Students can pick up a copy of
the guidelines at the main office
reception desk. Additionally, these
guidelines will be placed on North
High’s website for access by both
students and parents. Any costume
deemed inappropriate by an
administrator will require the
student to change into street clothes
and his/her opportunity to wear a
costume will end. Thank you for
your help with ensuring that
everyone can enjoy a safe,
respectful “Husky Halloween.”
Chemistry Department Celebrates Mole Day The chemistry department held their annual mole day celebration
on October 23rd. A mole is a unit used in chemistry to measure
quantities of compounds and elements. Based on the work of
Amadeo Avogadro, a mole is equal to 6.02 x 1023 particles. We
celebrate on the 23rd day of the 10th month from 6:02 am until 6:02
pm in honor of the number. Students are given a list of things they
can do to earn Mole Day points ranging from bringing treats,
making posters, completing math problems, writing poetry,
decorating pumpkins and many other activities.
