These symposiums allow the ability to come together and address concerns as well as connect to resources. Members compile research and report successes. After a pitch from Judge Clark in December, an on-line vote of members chose Wise County over Bath County VA and Blue Earth County MN. Kicking off the event in which forty to fifty members are expected to attend is a welcome reception “street party” on the historic Decatur Town Square. Friday, October 6th’s agenda includes meetings as well as mobile workshops and off-site visits to NRS and Hanson Aggregates capped off by a dinner at the Center for Animal Research and Education. The symposium concludes by noon on Saturday, October 7th with networking and strategy meetings. Judge Clark is excited to show off his home county’s growth and resourcefulness as well as the strong sense of community.
