Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Well once again we find ourselves heading

into the cooler weather of fall. Fall is a beautiful time. A time when God

seemingly takes His brush and paints us a majestic mural, right before our

eyes. This time of the year, let’s realize what a wonderful, loving and graceful God we have. It’s also

during this time of year it’s important for us to keep our minds on Him. The many activities of fall

can sometimes deter our thoughts from His purpose in our lives. To help us do just that I want to

remind of a quote from Stephen R. Covey, “Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a

habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.” Of course the principle that this

quote teaches is nothing new. God has weaved this principle into mankind. Proverbs 23:7 says, for

as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. And Paul reminded us in Philippians 4:8, to think about things

that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of a good report. We can plainly see, what we think about

is important, because that’s the direction we usually follow. To help direct our thoughts I want to

use the points of Glyndon Woosley’s message he preached at September’s Rally. Let’s keep our

thoughts on the way to go, the truth to know and the life to grow. All of these things are simply

found in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless you this fall season and His grace

continue to shine in your life.

Your brother in Ministry,

Terry Frerichs Vice Chairman of the East District
