Our final total for our fundraising efforts ended up being$16,901. We are very appreciative of your generosity. We willuse those funds wisely and in accordance to how we explainedto you early of what it will be used for. Thanks so much! Not this week, but next week will be Red Ribbon week. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug andviolence prevention awareness campaign. As usual there will bethemed days. Monday will be “wear Red day”, Tuesday “comeexpressing your favorite animal”, Wednesday is Mismatch Day,Thursday is Halloween, Friday is “wear neon day”. Students stillneed to meet school dress expectations during these days. Halloween can be a little tricky, so here are the guidelinesfor Halloween as approved by our School Community Council soyou can prepare for it properly.Halloween is just around thecorner. We know it’s a very exciting time for our students. Wewant them to enjoy the day, but it’s still an important academicday here at school as well. We would like to capture the best ofboth worlds. Students are welcome to wear a school friendlycostume that complies with our dress code if they adhere to thefollowing stipulations.
No Masks or extremely heavy make-up that covers/obscuresthe head/face. For safety purposes, we need to knoweveryone’s identity. Faces can’t be completely covered inmake-up.No toy weapons. No Blood and Guts, “softer” characters, please.Costumes should not be so distracting that it interferes withteachers’ instruction. No hand-held costume accessories, they often turn intonuisance items in the classroom and on the playground.
