More Graduation Information:
What to wear under the graduation gown?
Gentlemen – wear dark, dress trousers (no jeans), dark shoes with socks, white or light collared shirt, and a tie. Absolutely no shorts, flip flops, or tennis shoes. Ladies – wear a dress that does not hang below the hem of the gown. White or light colored shoes look best with the white gowns. Darker shoes look better with the red gowns. Girls MAY NOT wear flip flops or high, spiked heels. Flat shoes or wedges work best for walking on the turf. No jewelry, flowers, or anything not provided by the school should be attached or worn over or on the gown. We want the ceremony to be a dignified event. Students will not be allowed to bring silly string or foam or anything to be sprayed or squirted on each other. Beach balls will not be permitted. It is rude for the students to toss these while their peers are speaking. Please make sure that your child understands the proper decorum for this ceremony. Administrators and faculty will be checking for these items and students will be removed from the line if we find them with aerosol cans or materials of any kind that will disrupt or create an undesirable atmosphere. Thank you for helping us to make graduation a great event for our graduates and their families.
