Accounts will be given ten(10) days to be paid in full with cash or cash equivalent or they will be turned into the sanctioning organizations for further disciplinary action. Repeat offenders in a given show year will be turned in immediately with no 7 day grace period.

EQUITATION ENTRIES: Equitation riders must wear the number of the horse they are officially entered on. Numbers are assigned to horses, not riders. If a rider wishes to change horses for an equitation class, they may do so without penalty; however the proper paperwork must be completed in the horse show office prior to the start of the class. Violations can result in RDNE Fees, fines and charges being brought by the USEF Steward. MINIMUM CLASS REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of three entries are required to hold a class (exception: medal classes with other minimum requirements). Regular classes with less than three entries may be canceled, combined or held at management’s discretion. VENDORS: For vendor information, contact Sandra McKeon at: (707) 632-5928 or email her at: [email protected]. PARKING AND TRAFFIC: All trucks, autos, golf carts and other motorized vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Vehicle traffic is a major safety concern at horse shows. Vehicles must adhere to the maximum speed limit of 10 miles per hour and must stay on the Horse Park roadways at all times. DOGS: Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be on a leash or otherwise contained. Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs’ behaviors. Dog owners failing to comply with this rule may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7, as well as issuance of warning cards. In addition, show management may institute a $50 fine for any loose dogs, per occurrence, and reserves the right to impound loose dogs and / or summon Animal Control at the owner’s expense. CLOSED RINGS: Riders may not enter any ring marked as closed. CONFLICTS: It is the intention of management to avoid holding rings to wait for horses and riders. Riders with conflicts must arrange their jumping order with the starters so that they will not hold up a class. Trainer conflicts are not considered legitimate conflicts. Starters have the authority to scratch horses and riders who are not timely or who do not follow their instructions. NON-U.S. EXHIBITORS: The legend “U.S. Funds” must be printed on the face of any check drawn on a non-U.S. bank and used to pay any fees for these shows. Entries received that do not adhere to this policy will be returned. No exceptions. MOTORIZED VEHICLES AND GOLF CARTS: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), gurardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. ABUSE: Competitors who abuse horses will be eliminated by the judge and may be subject to fines and/or penalties. Abuse includes, but is not limited to, use of the whip four or more times in a row anywhere on a horse; use of the whip even once in front of the horse’s shoulder; use of a whip so hard that it leaves welts or marks on a horse’s body.

General Rules & Regulations

MEDICAL WASTE: In accordance with the 1989 Federal Waste Tracking Act, which restricts the disposal of medical waste, and the rules of USEF, Bio Hazardous Medical Waste Containers (Sharps boxes) will be provided in the stable area. All exhibitors and their agents are responsible for the proper disposal of their hazardous waste. CROSS COUNTRY COURSES: Trails and galloping tracks are open to competitors for hacking; helmets required. No jumping is allowed on the cross country course unless you are a Horse Park at Woodside member. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Alcoholic beverages of any kind may not be consumed on the show grounds except when inside of RVs and at scheduled horse show parties and special horse show functions that are confined to a specific location. TRAINER SPLITS: These shows offer a service that allows trainers to have their tack stall, feed and bedding split evenly among their clients’ horse show bills by completing a Trainer Tack, Feed & Bedding Split Form. Deadlines for filing Trainer Split Forms will be posted in the horse show office. Please advise your clients that these charges will appear on their show bill. Only dollar amounts will be split (not quantities) and totals will be rounded up to the next whole dollar amount. Uncollected splits will revert back to the trainer. ADD BACK PRIZE MONEY: In classes with add back, prize money is computed from the number of horses that actually show. Horses entered but not shown will forfeit their add back. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR: Except as may otherwise be mandated by local law, the Federation strongly encourages all riders while riding anywhere on the competition grounds, to wear protective headgear with harness secured which passes or surpasses ASTM / SEI standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It is the responsibility of the rider, or the parent or guardian or trainer of the junior exhibitor to see to it that the headgear worn complies with appropriate safety standards for protective headgear intended for equestrian use, and is properly fitted and in good condition, and the Federation, Show Committee, and Licensed Officials are not responsible for checking headgear worn for such compliance. SCHOOLING SUPERVISION: Please be advised that starters also serve as schooling supervisors and have authority, as agents of management, to enforce USEF schooling rules. POLING: Poling and the use of offsets ARE NOT permitted at any time, anywhere on the show grounds.

Please Remember

Grooms may NOT arrive early to set-up stalls and move in horses. The facility needs this time to clean stalls from the previous event, deliver pre-orders of feed and bedding and to prepare the stalls for our event. Early arrivals will be turned away or forced to wait until stalls are ready!
