It’s hard to believe that we are almost half way through the year already. Many of us will be embarking upon the adventures that we planned last year and journeying to those special places on the planet where river cruises come into their own.

Egypt offers a superb selection of historical sites, a wealth of culture and magnificent views. Cruising along the Nile allows you to immerse yourself in each destination whilst staying

in comfortable accommodation. This 7 night Nile cruise visits some iconic places which Egypt has to offer.

You will be met upon arrival in Luxor and transferred directly to the ship. In Luxor you will find some of the most spectacular ancient sites in the world.

On your second day there is the chance to visit the Valley of the Kings. The Valley is situated on the West bank of the Nile and is one of the most impressive sites in Egypt. Here you will discover a variety of tombs dating back to the 18th Century. Your excursion will also take you to visit Temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Queens. Afterwards there is a visit to the enormous statues of Colossi of Memnon, which can also be described as one of the major tourist attractions throughout time.

the Theban Gods. Another iconic site of Luxor is the Temple of Luxor built by Amenophis III and which was originally connected to the Karnak Temple via a long stone processional street called a dromos.

A visit to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, is the start to your fourth day. The cruise continues upstream to Kom Ombo where there is a late afternoon visit to the Ptolemic Temple dedicated to the gods Hareoeris and Sobek. Afterwards, still sailing upstream your boat will arrive in Aswan where it will remain for two nights.

Day five is spent in Aswan. Aswan is Egypt’s most southern city and is a lot quieter than Luxor. Also described as one of the most beautiful cities of Egypt, Aswan has a lot to offer. Sightseeing includes a visit to the High Dam, the old Granite Quarries, the unfinished Obelisk and then by boat to the temple of Philae on Agililka Island. The next day you have the option to explore Aswan some more or join an optional excursion to Abu Simel, which for many will be a highlight of this cruise.

Your seventh day is spent sailing down the Nile River. During this pleasant journey you can sit back, enjoy the views or take a dip in the pool. You will arrive in to Luxor the following day for disembarkation.
