Responsibilities
Injured Worker
• Determine liability • Claims Management• Ensure Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (WRACA) Compliance
• Provides facilitation role• Represents employing Agency• Liaises between Agency and TIO to coordinate compensation processes• Ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements
• Complies with workers compensation and employment legislation• Participates within workers compensation processes i.e. return to work program (RTWP)
• Provides suitable duties • Manages worker under Public Sector Employment and Management Act (PSEMA)• Comply with workers compensation legislation

DEFINITION: Failure to decide within specified time Section 87 WRACA If an employer fails to notify a person of his or her decision within the time specified in
Section 85 (10 working days), the employer is deemed to have accepted liability for compensation until:
(a) the expiry of 14 days after the day on which the employer notifies theperson of his or her decision (form 5)
or
(b) the Court orders otherwise

Apprentice Recruitment Summary
DBE TEP AACNT RTOAGENCY
Agency conducts Workforce Planning Activity and identifies Apprenticeship requirements
including:
- Qualification and Duration- Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
Agency then forwards a nomination form to DBE TEP
through their Early Career Co-ordinators for action
DBE TEP then assess if advertising needs to occur or if
advertising has occurred within the last 6 months and actions as
required
Applications are then forwarded to Agencies for short listing and
interview
Once short listing and interviewing are completed the
Agency notifies DBE TEP of successful applicant on an
Approval to Fill
Letter of Offer and Contract issued to successful applicant and letters sent to unsuccessful applicants.
Commencement completed including induction.
DBE TEP notify AACNT of commencement
AACNT Register Apprentice and notify
chosen RTO of commencement
RTO completes training plan and commences
training
Apprentice Commences within the Agency
