Above, I carried on then to draw much smaller objects around me. I then began to develop more of an understanding when it came to line thicknesses and focused more
towards the shadow distribution from one side to another.
To start, I looked at small and intricate components such as things on bicycles and focused mainly on how objects where joined and connected to other parts.

Hands and other body adornments
After it being a while without touching a sketchbook, I decided to draw something which was difficult to draw, something which needed more time to complete and to which would test my observation and drawing ability to create a realistic looking drawing.

I then looked towards forearms and then looked into drawing hands being clenched.

This drawing below was a quick sketch which is from the Media City campus which is next to the National War museum. I have used a combination between different thicknesses of pens to capture the light from one side of the image to other and also introduced the cross hatching technique to show different material surfaces.

This building in particular was made from steel and had an aluminium outer shell which covered any walls which didn't contain any double glazed
windows.

To create more tones and shadows, I have also used a pencil once the pen dried to create an even tone throughout and to captivate some much smaller details in the arm and hand.

I then looked towards the much smaller objects such as watches and leafs, trying to mange my time but quickly drawing them out to scale and also in captivating the shadows in the right
places and to also try to show what materials are used.
I have also used pro markers to show different colours within the objects such as the brown leather strap which is connected to the watch

A few weeks ago on the 12/3/14, I went to visit the local Earlestown Train station and made a series of quick sketches of things around the area and even a few buildings around the station.
