• He had deep depression, even though he would frequently tell stories and jokes to friends and family.
• He was the tallest U.S president at 6ft 4 inches.

The Lincoln-Douglass Debates
• In 1858, the little known Lincoln ran against Stephen Douglass for his Senate seat.
• The majority of the debates were about popular sovereignty in the western territories.
Popular Sovereignty will cause slavery to eventually pass away on its own!
