Randall Christopher MARION — Randall L. Christopher, 56, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at his home. Randall was born June 27, 1957, in Marion to Charles and Dorris (Pease) Christopher. He married Debbie Fallin in July 1995. She survives of Marion. Randall was a union mem- ber of 178 in Fort Worth, Texas. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his pets. He loved his nieces, nephews, their children and his friends. Survivors include wife, Debbie Christopher of Mar- ion; stepson, Billy Hudgens of Marion; granddaughter, Emily Grace Hudgens of Marion; brothers, Bill Chr- istopher and wife, Pat, of Marion and David Christ- opher and wife, Donnita, of Herrin; and nieces and nephews, Shannon Mason, Shauna Dowdy, Dax Christ- opher, Devan Christopher, Brian Miller, Lindsey Harris and Cassie Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a private burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home. Randall will be sorely missed by all. Major Neal Ryan MARION Former Illinois native, Irishman and Army Officer Maj. Neal C. Ryan, 91, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at his home in Milford, Mich. Neal will be buried next to his late wife, Bernice Ryan, and there will be a family gathering in his honor to celebrate his life. Neal was born Feb. 4, 1922, in Chicago to Corn- elius and Catherine Ryan. He graduated from St. Leo High School of Chicago and University of Nebraska. Neal joined the U.S. Army at 17 and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was later accepted and graduated from Army Officer Candidacy School. He served as a surgeon’s assistant in the Medical Division of the Army. He was a wonderful hus- band to Betty Ryan, whom he met while home from basic training. He was a proud father of four children, Darlene Died- erich, Connie Markendorf, Neal J. Ryan and Linda Mitchell. In 1963, after his first wife’s passing, Major Neal C. Ryan retired from the Army. After retirement from the Army, Neal continued to work in the medical field for the State of Illinois. Neal later married Bernice Ryan, taking on two wonderful stepsons, Steve Lipnik and Bob Lipnik. Neal was an Illinois native for 84 years. He thoroughly enjoyed playing bridge and rooting for the White Sox and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Neal’s loyalty, bravery and generosity made him an insp- iration to family and friends alike. He lived his life with integrity as a proud Amer- ican soldier and a dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his chil- dren, Steve Lipnik (Cathy), Darlene Diederich (Rich), Connie Markendorf (Lou), Bob Lipnik (Keri), Neal J. Ryan (Debbie) and Linda Mitchell (Rick); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family wishes to express that Neal will be missed by all. Sarah Loeh ZEIGLER — Sarah Bell (Robinson) Loeh, 93, passed away at 2:07 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, in Herrin Hospital. Sarah was born June 29, 1920, in Perrine, Ark., to Luther and Willie Clair (Carr) Robinson. She married Robert Loeh on July 30, 1940, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death May 7, 1978. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley Dawe of Royalton, Carolyn and Roger Murray of Buckner and Barbara Loeh of Sanford, Fla.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond Lee and Kitty Loeh of Villa Grove and Bobbie Loeh of Zeigler; six grandchildren, Ronald and David Murray, Rachel and Erica Lindquist, Courtney and Whitney Loeh; and four great- grandchildren. Her parents; a grandson, Christopher Dawe; and two brothers, Raymond and James Robinson also preceded her in death. Mrs. Loeh was of Pentecostal faith and a homemaker. Services for Mrs. Loeh will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in Cundiff Cemetery near Carterville with the Rev. Jason Todd officiating. There will be no visitation.
