Com In the Beginning! FYI - The antibiotics has kicked in and doing a good job fighting off my Lyme disease. I feel so much better. Thanks for all the prayers that went up. Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Have you ever thought about those words? Be- fore the beginning of time there was a void. There was nothing except for God. That might be a little tough to wrap your mind around. The void or noth- ingness before the begin- ning proves there is a God! I will get to that a little later. So, I went outside the other night and just stared at the stars. It was a clear night so I could see the vast number of stars clearly. I enjoyed seeing the hand of the creator. I mean that kind of beauty just don’t happen. It is created from a Grand Creator. I have been blessed to see the endless ocean and the giant Rocky Moun- tains. The Ocean and Rock - ies make you feel small. In the scheme of things, I am just a tiny dot in a vast creation. Even being this tiny dot in a vast creation, I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and cares for me as an individual. The Heavenly Father loves and cares for every single person in his creation. The Heavenly Father wants a relationship with every single person. In the beginning God created the Heavens and Earth. At some point, there was nothing. Everyone will agree with that; even the anti-God scientist. The people who say there is no God have a major flaw in their argument. You see, if you have nothing and add it to nothing you get noth- ing. So in order to have something there has to be creator. In the beginning God created the Heavens and Earth. That is what I be- lieve and know 110%. I also know and believe he gave his only begotten son to die on a cross for our sins. There is nothing that will convince me other- wise. One look at the night sky, seeing the Rockies ap- pear on the horizon, look - ing at the endless ocean, or a new baby being born, proves there is an awe- some creator! Take a little time on a clear night to look at the stars. I promise you will be glad you did. It’s also a great time to talk to the one who created it all! Until next week, get out and enjoy God’s creation! Melissa Paulette Estes, age 46, of Sandhill Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017. She was born March 19, 1971 in Estill County and was the daughter of Judy Paulette Stacy. She was an employee of CCDF and had lived in Estill County all her life. Survivors in addition to her mother include one daughter, Kiri Jo Estes, Estill County; three sons: Thomas William Estes, Raymond Paul Estes, and Billy Gene Estes Jr., all of Estill County; and one sister, Matricia Earl Striblin, Ohio. Private services will be held at a later date. Warren F.
