BADGER — Badger is an early sea-son oat developed at the University of Wisconsin. It has the same heading date as Dane and is two days earlier than Kame. Badger has had consistently
high grain yields and excellent test weight. Lodging percentage is about equal to Vista. Badger is one inch shorter than Kame. Badger has good barley yellow dwarf virus tolerance and very good crown rust resistance.
Released in 2010, Badger is a U.S. Plant Protected Variety (PVPA 1994). Seed of Badger can legally be produced and labled for sale only by growers who have been licensed by the Wisconsin Crop Improvement or its legal agent.
DRUMLIN — Drumlin Oats is a mid-late high yielding oat developed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Drumlin has crown rust resistance and very good Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus tol-
erance. It is equal to Vista in maturity and its height is similar to Gem. Lodging is higher than Gem and Vista. Released in 2003, Drumlin oats is exclusively licensed by Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) to Wisconsin Crop Improvement (WCIA).

ESKER — Esker is a mid-season oat which has had consistently high grain yields. Test weights are similar to those of Gem, while heading date is about 1 day later than Moraine, and just slightly
earlier than Ogle. Plant height is about an inch shorter than Gem and Drumlin. Lodging is less than Gem and Vista, but more than Dane. BYDV tolerance is comparable to that of Ogle. Crown rust resistance is very good. Released in 2004, Esker oats is exclusively licensed by Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) to Wisconsin Crop Improvement (WCIA).
