FIVE DAYS WORKSHOP ON“BUSINESS MASTERMINDS”

CONDUCTED ON 24TH TO 29TH DECEMBER 2015

OASIS- THE Entrepreneurship Development Cell organized a ONE WEEK event

BUSINESS MASTERMINDS-2014, (24th decmber-29th December 2014) exploring the

business and marketing skills. This Program Is Organized For Rcoem Engineering

Students And Students Of Other Engineering College Too. This Was An

Intercollegiate Event. The Event Included Various Activities To Boost The Business

Skills And Innovative Ideas Among The Participants. Topics Covered In The Session

Were Finance, Marketing And Innovation Of Entrepreneurship Skills. The

Workshop Was Attended By Students From Leading Colleges Of The City namely

G.H.Raisoni, S.B.Jain, Anjuman College, Dr. Ambedkar College, etc. The Function

Was Inaugurated by Mrs. Bhavya Choudhary, Centre Head of BULLS EYE, Mr.

Shreyas Holay, Director of Backbencher Magazine, Dr R.S.Pandey, Principal of

RCOEM, Prof. I.P.Keswani (HOD- Industrial Dept.) And Prof. M. R. Jain, Chief

Coordinator Of OASIS-The ED Cell. First Activity Was ‘PEHLI KAMAI’ In Which

Students Invested A Small Amount Of Money In Real World Market To Earn The

Profit. On 26th Of December, All The Participants Were Taken To The GREEN

GROVES FARM HOUSE For The Second Event Named As ‘THESUR’ (Treasure

Hunt). It Was Followed By The Event ‘JUGAAD’ Held On 27th Of DECEMBER In

Which Participants Had To Sell The Products In Market To Generate The Profit.

This Activity Was Preceded By The Motivational Speech Of Prof. M.R.Jain On

Entrepreneurship. He Talked About Various Avenues On Finance In The Process Of

Becoming A Successful Entrepreneur. On 28th Of December, Fourth Activity ‘FACE

OFF’ Had Taken Place. Students Were Given The Business Related Topic To

Debate And To Come Up With The Mutual Conclusion. This Event Was Judged by

Prof. Deepak. Last Activity ‘PLAN-DE-EMPERSIA( B-Plan Competition)’ Was

Scheduled On 29th Of December In Which After Short Listing The Top 10 Groups,

All The Selected Groups Had To Come Up With Their Own Innovative Business

Idea Along With Its Advertisement, Budget And Breakthrough Point. Top 3 Groups

Have Been Rewarded By the Cash Prize of 15000, 10000 And 5000 Respectively.

Bulls Eye Has Also Rewarded the Winners with the Scholarships. The Complete

Event Was Concluded By The Inspirational Guidance Of All The Dignitaries. They

Discussed The Various Fields That One Can Get Into As An Aspiring Entrepreneur.

A Certificate Of Participation Was Given To All Present At The Conclusion Of The

Event. CHETAN BHAUKA (Secretary of ED Cell-Electronics & Telecommunication)

headed the event of 350 students. K.SHREEYA REDDY and POOJA MISHRA

coordinated the whole event which was successfully organized by the team of

OASIS-The ED Cell.

TWO DAYS WORKSHOP ON

“ACCRETE-2015”

CONDUCTED ON 3rd and 4th JANUARY 2015

“ACCRETE” A Two day’s program for creating awareness aboutEntrepreneurship for the first year students was conducted on 3rd & 4th January2015. Around 180 students were present for the program. The Inaugural speechwas delivered by Chief Guest Mr. Jaisingh Chavhan, General Secretary ofBhartiya Janta Party Apang Vikas Aghadi Maharashtra State . Mr. Shreyas Holay,Director of Backbencher magazine and Mr. Karandeep Singh Arora IndustrialAlumni were among the guests of the event. The other dignitaries who graced theoccasion were Mr. Govindlalji Agrawal, Secretary RCOEM, DR. R. S. Pandey,Principal RCOEM, Dr. D. R. Zawar, Industrial Engineering, Pf. M.R. Jain, ChiefCoordinator of OASIS-The ED Cell.

Mr. Sanjay Arora conducted one session on creativity and importance ofentrepreneurship and motivated the students to develop the strategic andcreative abilities. This session got overwhelming response from students.

On day two, Mr Pawan Sarda who himself is a successful entrepreneur took athree hour seminar and stressed on innovation. He introduced the idea of makingcreative innovations irrespective of the educational backgrounds which wasenjoyed and liked by the students very much. Along with the sessionsentrepreneurship activities and tests were also conducted in which all thestudents participated with great enthusiasm. Certificate of participation has beendistributed to all the participants.

ONE DAYS WORKSHOP ON“EXPORT IMPORT MANAGEMENT WITH GLOBAL MARKETING ”

CONDUCTED ON 17TH JANUARY 2015

A guest Lecture was organized by Oasis –Entrepreneurship Cell on the 17TH

JANUARY 2015.The Industrial Engineering second year and third year students gotto interact with guest.. It was very evident that the class greatly appreciated theopportunity to have him answer any doubts, queries or reservations they mighthave and be part of an open discussion wherein pressing issues from the fieldwere discussed. This was complete interactive session .Prof. Yogesh Deshpande inaugurated the session. This program was graced by thepresence of Dr. I.P.Keswani , Prof. T.A.Madankar and other faculties membersfrom the department. After that the Resource Person gave his presentation,played really inspiring and educational videos for the better clarification of theidea process and introduces all the students to Export, Import & F.T.P. Heemphasized on staring and speeding up the Exim Business. He introduced theterminologies like Focus on Excise, Customs, FEMA, EOU, SEZ L.C, ECGC, etc to thestudents. The students found the session to be highly informative and useful.Nearly 65 students got benefitted through this program. The program came tothe end with the vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Sachin Pund. It was anexceptionally informative session that allayed some of the fears to be anentrepreneur and cleared up that for being entrepreneur one requires passionand determination.

ONE DAYS WORKSHOP ON“ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT ”CONDUCTED ON 25TH FEBRUARY 2015

A Guest Lecture programme was organized by the ‘Oasis- The EntrepreneurshipDevelopment Cell’ especially for Final Year students and also third year studentsof Industrial Engineering on 25th February 2015. The Resource Person was Mr.MUKESH ASHAR. Mr. Mukesh is an entrepreneur and international trainer (JCIcertified) with experience in telecom & industrial supply domain for last 25 years.He is founding member of Lemon School. The programme commenced with thewelcome address given by Prof. M. R. Jain. After that the Resource Person gavehis presentation on the topic “What it takes to be an Entrepreneur”. He explainedthe students about Strategies one can opt for starting his career as Entrepreneurand also explained the scope for Entrepreneurship in India. He also tried inmaking the students understand that for Entrepreneurship passion andenthusiasm is required and institutions like ‘LEMON IDEAS INNOVATIONS’ isalways ready to help Plans and Mind waggling ideas of students into realities bymentoring and also investing into it. He organized the activity in which studentshad to participate and come up with the innovative business plans. All these planswere discussed by the students and the guest. He also benefitted students byanswering their queries and showing them broader aspects to nurtureEntrepreneurship. The students found the session to be highly informative anduseful. Nearly 50 students got benefitted through this programme.

Competition on the “Innovative applications of Solar PV energy”

To develop the entrepreneurial spirit in the students, the ED Cell of Electrical Departmenthas organized a competition on “Innovative applications of Solar PV energy”. In thiscompetition, students submitted the innovative applications of Solar PV energy which has somepractical relevance.

The competition received excellent response from the students. Students has come upwith innovative applications of Solar PV energy such as Hybrid vehicle, Grid connectedInverter, Solar Power Emergency Kit, Solar leaf, Solar power Telecom Tower, Efficientconverter for solar system, Eco friendly Plaza and many more. The entries were judged on thebasic of Originality, Innovativeness and Applications.

An innovative application on “Solar Power Emergency Kit” by Ms.Neha Keswani, IIISem electrical student bagged the first prize while the “Solar Powered Telecom Tower” byAshish Tanksale, III Sem-Electrical received the second prize. Prof. V.T.Barhate congratulatedand gave the prizes to the students. Prof.U.B.Mujumdar, Coordinator ED Cell-Electrical andProf.(Mrs)S.H.Deshmukh judged the entries.

Department of Electrical EngineeringEntrepreneurship Development Cell Installation Program, 2014

The Office bearers of Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Department of Electrical

Engineering have been installed on 1st October 2014. Mr. Ashish Sharma, Platinum Education

,Nagpur a well known HR trainer and Motivator was the chief guest of the function. He guided

the students on “ Goal Setting for Successful Entrepreneurship”. Prof.V.T.Barhate, Head of the

department, Electrical Engineering and Prof.M.R.Jain, Chief Coordinator-EDC cell also guided

the students on the occasion. Prof.U.B.Mujumdar, Coordinator-EDC Electrical department

briefed the activities conducted by the ED Cell.

Events such as Business quiz and G.K quiz were also conducted by the members of ED

cell. The program was conducted by Ms.Twinkal Thakur and Ms.Sonica Zanzad.

Prof.N.M.Deshkar, Prof.D.R.Tutakne, Prof.Hemant Diddee, Prof.(Mrs) S.H.Deshmukh and

Prof(Mrs) Preeti Kapoor were prominently present in the program.

‘Entrepreneurship Awareness cum Motivation’ lecture by Mr. Saket Salpekar conducted on 20th March2015.

Mr. Saket Salpekar is the director of Elite Group of Professional Institutions and College of FireEngineering, Nagpur. He is also a famous motivational speaker and a renowned personality who is also acareer counselor.

He guided the students about the benefits of becoming a future entrepreneur and also shared some tipsto be a successful one. He also clearly stated that, it is not money but your ideas that make a successfulentrepreneur. The session was very well attended by a good number of enthusiastic students and foundit very enlightening.

“ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL”(DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING)

Date: 23rd January2015

A guest Lecture was organized by Oasis -Entrepreneurship Cell (mechanical) on 23rd January2015 for the Final year and Third year students of Mechanical Engineering Department. Theguest lecture was more or less an interactive session on 3D Printing. They got to interact withMr. Ameya Khambete; manager of CAD-CAM GURU SOLUTIONS, Pune .

The session started with the welcome speech of Prof. S.R. Kulkarni, Mechanical EngineeringDepartment. Mr. Ameya Khambete spoke about the evolution of 3D printing technique and howthis is benefiting the present research world. He discussed about the evolution of AdditiveManufacturing from Subtractive Manufacturing. He used few videos to make studentsunderstand the importance of AM (Additive Manufacturing); which was greatly appreciated bythe students.

Along with him, few other employees of the organization were present. They informed thestudents about their organisation’s profile. They are in partners with STRTASYS; leadingmanufacturer of 3D printers and 3D production systems for office-based rapid prototyping anddirect digital solutions. Engineers use Stratasys systems to model complex geometries in a widerange of thermoplastic materials,including: ABS, polyphenylsulfone (PPSF), polycarbonate (PC) and ULTEM 9085. Stratasysmanufactures in-office prototyping and direct digital manufacturing systems for automotive,aerospace, industrial, recreational, electronic, medical and consumer product OEMs.

Finally the session moved further with questionnaire. Students were very interactive and clearedtheir doubts effectively.

The students found the session to be highly informative and useful. The programme came to endwith the vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Nitin Gudadhe (Mechanical Engg. Dept).

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TOBHARAT PLASTICS, HINGNA MIDC, NAGPUR

The department of Electronics Design Technology organized an Industrial visit to Bharat Plastics

Pvt.Ltd., Hingna (MIDC) on 3rd January 2015 for EDT students. Shrikant Dhondarikar, Business

founder Bharat Plastics, Hingna MIDC, Nagpur interacted with our students & discussed about

entrepreneurship skills and their experiences during the foundation of industry. Total 26 students of the

department along with five faculty members have joined this industrial trip.
