Oak View is a 1-square mile, densely populated, low-income community in Huntington Beach, formerly called Slater Slums.

Several nonprofits operate within the Oak View community. These agencies, along with the schools and library, work in collaboration with residents to empower the community and address the systemic challenges in education, health, safety and security, income, and housing.
