The Presentation Now that you have broken bread and made a best friend, it is time to get down to business. Your friendly sales rep shows you what she/he is there to sell you. The absolute, 100% best vacation property in the entire world, or maybe how another week or more points is just what you need to really maximize your vacation ownership experience. And right from the start, you know it will be out of your price range. 5. Reasons to buyEven though the price ishigh, you need to knowthe reasons to buy: 1. Its an investment! 2. Its a tax write off! 3. The fees never go up! 4. Its the LAST ONE! 5. You can rent it and make money!!Do any of these soundfamiliar to you? 6. But WAIT!! Theres more!You can resell it !We will buy it back!If you buy MORE points,the fees will be LESS!You can travel more!MORE weeks meanMORE fun!You get cheaper airfare!You just won the lottery!And so on, and so on. 7. And now you are sold.But this still does not address the money issue. Yes, you love all of the great things that will happen if you buy this timeshare unit, add another week or buy more points. But you still cant afford it. You look at your wife, your wife looks at you, you both look at the salesman, he looks back at you. And then, he asks you a few questions:1. Money aside, could you see yourselves vacationing like this? Dont you love all of the features? Wouldnt an extra week be great? Wouldnt a DECREASE in maintenance fees be a great thing?You quickly answer: YES!2. If I COULD work a better price, lower your fees, lower your mortgage, WOULD you buy?ANOTHER YES! Or at least one of you does 8. It all comes down to moneyYou have now been cornered. You havetold a professional salesman that youlove his product and that it is only aboutmoney. You are now the couple thatsalesmen dream of, but you know that alowly salesman does not have theauthority to change the price ofsomething that costs tens of thousandsof dollars. He says Ill be right back. 9. Enter The CloserThe Closer is better dressed than the salesman. He will reemphasize every last detail that the salesman gave you. He is the voice of authority. No matter what, he assures, he will figure out a way to get you done, get you financed, lower your mortgage, lower your fees and make you happy. 10. Within minutes.. a price you can livewith (or so you think)You are quicklywhisked to the closingarea and you aresigning your life away.You are just momentsfrom owning yourdream vacationproperty, doublingyour points or buyinganother week.
