5 min Welcome Pupils The teacher stands at the door and welcomes the pupils into the classroom.

The pupils enter the classroom and take their seats.

5 min Introduce the Programme The teacher explains todays goals and programme.

20 min Test The teacher hands out a test for pupils to do. This will establish their level of grammar knowledge. The pupils will get 20 minutes to complete this test.

After the checking of the test the teacher will tell pupils who have 23,5 points or less to join the explanation of the grammar.

Pupils who have between 24 and 26,5 points have a choice.

Whoever has a 27 points or more and feels like they are well prepared enough can get started on Test Yourself.

It is important to express to the group who is going to work on their own what your expectations of them are. (That they work in such a manner that you can focus on the group who needs your help).

20 min Explain Grammar / Test Yourself Together with some pupils the teacher works on a few specific grammar topics. This really depends on what the pupils need. It is advisable to ask these pupils to come sit to the front while the other pupils who work on their own sit in the back. This way it is easier to make contact.

The PowerPoint includes hyperlinks to the topics. These topics consist of an explanation and extra practice sentences.

The teacher might prefer to work using the sentences on the test as examples instead.

The others work on Test Yourself quietly.

Together with some pupils the teacher works on a few specific grammar topics. This really depends on what the pupils need.

3 min Wrapping up The teacher thanks the pupils for their hard work today and wishes them good luck with the actual test.

The pupils tidy up the classroom and then leave the room.
