We can help you take on the challenge of truly integrating your Google Apps domain into your Active Directory structure. By combining several technologies and working closely with your district, we can help you set up:

Account or Password SynchronizationUser accounts and passwords can be synchronized between a directory server and the Google domain.

SSO Account LoginGoogle supports many methods of trusting passwords that are confirmed by other services. Through using software that converts one of these methods to authentication requests of your Directory Server, passwords can be checked against a directory in real time with minimal impact to its existing configuration.

Local Backup of Google DocsOften people are concerned that an online service might lose their data. NWESD has developed a process for backing up Google Docs.

“The Anacortes School District has been using the NWESD to support its network for many years now. We have had an ongoing contract in which they have helped support key network infrastructure such as our firewall, network switches, and even server support. They have helped implement difficult network configurations through their knowledgeable technicians, and have isolated and resolved major network problems by sending technicians out both during and after hours. The NWESD realizes the importance of a stable network in an educational environment and with their support they have helped us keep our network running as smoothly as possible.”

Technology Program ReviewTPRNWESD leads district staff through a summative evaluation methodology that involves measurement and documentation for all aspects of program impact on the school district. We can meet with district administrators and building SIP (School Improvement Planning) members to help facilitate and inform this process, as well as review and provide feedback on completed plans prior to submission to OSPI.

A formal report outlining the impact of the program is produced as well as recom-mendations for improvement. Areas addressed include: Staffing and processes Infrastructure Hardware and software Professional development Policy and proceedures

“Subsequent to the passage of our district's Technology Levy we sought services by the NWESD to perform an external technology program review. Following a very comprehensive process involving gathering input from our staff in conjunc-tion with the external review work, recommendations were generated across five major domains.

These recommendations have been invaluable in assisting the district in subsequent policy development, enhanced focus on needed professional development and viable infrastructure, software and hardware plans.”
