BW-Balance Chelated Micronutrients Solution

BALANCE delivers an optimized ratio of micronutrients for crops under high production demand. It reduces effects of stressful conditions that can decrease yield.

It’s formulated for use with fertilizer solutions as a supplement to a well-balanced fertilizer program. Including BALANCE in fertilizer applications before or at planting delivers the most benefit, since effects of micronutrient deficiencies are most damaging to young plants.

BENEFITS OF BW BALANCE• Broad spectrum of micronutrients• Corrects for micronutrient deficiencies in soil• Meets crop reproductive micronutrient needs to maximize yield• Chelated for fast, easy mixing• Minimizes stress-induced crop damage and premature ripening• Easy to use in nearly any foliar or pesticide application

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSFoliar Spray ApplicationsFor foliar spraying with a conventional sprayer, use a minimum of 20 gallons of water per acre per quart of BALANCE. A maximum of 1 quart per acre is recommended if foliar spraying BALANCE with low-volume equipment. Burning may occur in low-volume spray applications with little water. Spray when the crop is in an active growing stage after irrigation or rainfall for best results. Early mornings or late afternoon spray application is recommended.Vegetables: Incorporate BALANCE into the normal spray program, applying 1/2 to 1 quart per acre each spray.Field Crops: Apply 1 quart per acre when plants are young. This is the time when the most severe deficiencies occur.Tree and Vine Crops: Split applications are most beneficial and recommended. Apply 1 quart per 125 gallons of spray mixture. If using concentrated spray, increase the concentration in direct proportion to the dilution. It’s possible to split the above amount into several applications.

Aerial ApplicationsConsult an agronomist for application rates and dilutions.

Soil ApplicationsBALANCE is recommended for use on all types of soils using sprinkler, drip, or band application. Dilute prior to use for uniform coverage. BALANCE can be incorporated into liquid fertilizers or applied separately. Apply using the following rates if you do not have a leaf or soil analysis:Maintenance Application - 1 quart per acre.Moderate Deficiency - 2 to 3 quarts per acre.Severe Deficiency - 4 quarts per acre.

PLANT NUTRIENT FUNCTIONSThe primary benefits of the nutrients in BALANCE include:

Boron: Vital to new growth and essential for pollination and seed production. Also enhances nitrogen uptake and utilization.

Copper: Activates enzymes to convert amino acids to proteins, enhances nitrogen metabolism and disease resistance.

Iron: Assists in chlorophyll production, respiration, and energy transfer.

Manganese: Essential for chlorophyll development, metabolizing herbicides, and in plant respiration.

Zinc: Promotes root development and is essential for shoot growth and seed formation.

Warning: The application of Boron on any crops other than those recommended may result in serious injury to the crop. Contact your county agent or field representative before making application.

GENERAL INFORMATIONBALANCE is formulated to be used in fertilizer solutions and is recommended as a supplement to a well-balanced fertilizer program. Highest efficiency is expected from band application, although broadcast, band or row applications are acceptable. Micronutrient deficiencies usually occur when plants are small and are most effective when added to fertilizer before or at planting.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONSTank Mixes: Many pesticides can be applied with balance. Compatibility testing is required before mixing with pesticides or other chemicals. An adequate test for compatibility involves mixing the proper proportions of the product with water and the other ingredients in a small container. Agitate and let stand for one hour. If a precipitate forms, apply the products separately. BALANCE will disperse in water with little or no agitation. Many pesticides can be applied with BALANCE. Follow the mixing sequence of water, BALANCE, then pesticide.

Tank Buffering: Water with a pH greater then 6 may diminish pesticide efficacy by way of alkaline hydrolysis. A pH buffer, may be used to lower and maintain the pH of a spray tank and improve application efficacy.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONSBALANCE is a chelate with low corrosivity. It is recommended that BALANCE be stored in fiberglass, polyethylene, or polyolefin. Do not stack pallets.

BW-NLockdownNitrogen Stabilizer

BW NLockdown protects growers’ fertilizer investment with superior nitrogen stabilization. Use of this product helps soil retain more nitrogen to increase fertilizer efficiency, even in wet and challenging field conditions.

A NITROGEN STABILIZER IS CRITICAL WHEN:• Fertilizer is surface applied, especially to moist soils• There’s high crop residue such as reduced or no-till conditions• Nitrogen loss increases at or near the soil surface due to warm

temperatures, high soil pH, and other challenging field or weatherconditions

ADVANTAGESAs much as 40% of nitrogen can be lost with normal fertilizer applications. BW NLockdown prevents this loss during the critical days immediately after fertilizer application. The unique formulation and production process coats and protects more nitrogen than competitive products by piercing the prill deeper. This makes the product more effective in warm weather, with moisture variations, and wet conditions.

TWO-WAY PROTECTIONBW NLockdown reduces nitrogen loss in two ways:1. Inhibits activity of the urease enzyme that breaks down urea2. Slows the conversion of urea to ammonia gas

BENEFITS OF BW NLOCKDOWN• Retards hydrolysis of urea and controls volatility• Prevents ammonia loss while the urea is on the soil surface• Keeps nitrogen available to plant longer, maximizing nitrogen

investment• Reduced ammonia emissions• Superior coverage and flow due to surfactant• Fast-drying solution for easier handling• Requires less blending time to speed operations• Penetrating agent treats more of the urea granule for moreconsistent results

Boron deficiency

BW-Boron 7%BW-Boron 7% is important for strong cell walls, disease resistance, stem branching, nodulations in legumes, flower development and pollination. Boron 7% is essential in providing sugars to plant roots and therefore in necessary in the soil. It is generally a soluble nutrient but is usually only available to the plant from a soil application when adequate supply and water is available to the plant. Boron 7% can provide consistent growth under adverse soil conditions. It is not easily transported within the plant. Boron 7% is needed for pollen tube development as well as seed and fruit development. Legume crops generally require higher amounts of Boron 7% for nodulations. A general leaf test range for Boron 7% needs to be between 20 -100 ppm. BW-Boron formulation also contains salicylic acid which has been shown boost the plant's immune system. BW-Boron includes small amounts of Molybenum which is involved in transforming nitrogen into amino acids for building plant proteins. BW-Boron 7% can be applied in a 2x2 soil application but is not recommended in an on-seed starter or for in-furrow use. Applications use rate should be increased when foliar applied and be based on crop needs with the use of a plant tissue test to confirm final foliar rate.

Use rates:

Soil application: 16-32 oz/acre (apply only in 2x2 or away from seed)

Foliar application: 16-32 oz/acre

Note:

(10-15 gallon of a water carrier is recommended for adequate coverage)

* Do not apply to foliage if air temperature is to exceed 85 degrees at time of application

IN-FURROW APPLICATION

BW FUSION liquid fertilizer placed on or near the seed at planting time can stimulate early root growth and strengthen young plants. See the reverse side for recommended rates of fertilizer. Consult with your authorized Dealer for specific fertility recommendations.

Additives to In-Furrow ApplicationsIn furrow placement of other crop enhancement products is greatly facilitated once the application kit for the application of starter products is installed on the planting implement. Crop protection products, biologicals, or plant growth supplements can often be added to the starter product for a very efficient and accurate method in applying these other products. All tank mixes should be tested for physical and performance compatibility before use. Consult with your BW FUSION retailer before using such mixes. The addition of an Injection kit to the application kit is often required to ensure product compatibilities.

THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS MUST BE OBSERVED IN ORDER TO APPLY LIQUID FERTILIZER FOR FOLIAR APPLICATIONS. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE PLANTS.

• DO USE FERTILIZERS UNDER CONDITIONS OF OPTIMUM PLANT GROWTH INCLUDING HIGHEST HUMIDITY, MODERATE TEMPERATURE AND ADEQUATE SOIL MOISTURE.

• DO ADD, AS A MINIMUM, EQUAL AMOUNTS OF WATER. DO USE SUFFICIENT WATER TO PROVIDE THOROUGH COVERAGE.

• DO CONSULT WITH YOUR LOCAL SALES MANAGER TO DETERMINE PESTICIDES WHICH ARE COMPATIBLE WITH FERTILIZER.

• DO ADD WETTABLE OR SOLUBLE POWDERS, EMULSIFIABLES OR FLOWABLES TO WATER IN THE MIX AND WET, DISSOLVE OR DISPERSE BEFORE ADDING FERTILIZER.

• DO CONSULT YOUR LOCAL SALES MANAGER FOR RATE AND APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS.

• DO USE A SMALL JAR OR CONTAINER PRIOR TO FULL SCALE MIXING TO PROPORTIONALLY MIX ALL THE COMPONENTS TO CONFIRM COMPATIBILITY.

• DO NOT USE WHEN THE CROP IS UNDER STRESS FROM PESTS, HEAT OR INADEQUATE SOIL MOISTURE.

• DO NOT APPLY BY AIRCRAFT IF SURFACE WIND IS GREATER THAN FIVE MILES PER HOUR TO ASSURE ADEQUATE CROP

COVERAGE AND DROPLET DISPOSITION.

• DO NOT SPRAY TO RUN OFF. DO NOT SPRAY TO VISIBLE

DROPLET COALESCENCE. DO NOT ALLOW CONCENTRATED

SPRAY MIST TO RUN OFF FRUIT OR LEAVES.

• DO NOT APPLY DURING THE HEAT OF THE DAY.

• DO NOT MIX WITH CALCIUM CONTAINING PRODUCTS UNLESS

THE CALCIUM IS FULLY EDTA CHELATED.

• DO NOT MIX FERTILIZERS WITH HARD WATER. MIXING WITH

HARD WATER MAY CAUSE CLOGGING OF LINES DUE TO THE

COMBINING OF CALCIUM, MAGNESIUM AND IRON IN THE

WATER WITH PHOSPHATE IN THE FERTILIZER.

FOLIAR APPLICATION

Foliar feeding is one of the most efficient methods of supplying nutrients during critical growing stages. BW FUSION foliar fertilizers provide available N-P-K and chelated micronutrients to make a good crop even better or it can supply a deficient, stressed crop the proper nutrients for a quick recovery. These products can also be customized and combined to ensure crop success.

BW FUSION foliars are manufactured with the highest quality raw materials on the market today and includes only available, chelated micronutrients to maximize foliar absorption. BW FUSION foliars can also be safely mixed with most insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides to help maximize yield potential (please follow proper mixing instructions).

PRODUCT STORAGE CONTAINER RECOMMENDATIONS

• Storage in poly, fiberglass, stainless, or lined/coated steel tanks to prevent possible product discoloration. Storage in flat bottom tanks is recommended during winter months. Bubble, recirculate, and/or agitate material before usage in all instances. Material stored in cone bottom tanks (although not recommended) will require longer recirculation after winter to regain product consistency.

• DO NOT STORE OR TRANSPORT ANY PRODUCT IN ALUMINUM, OR GALVANIZED STEEL TANKS

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

BW FUSION liquid fertilizers can mix with many crop production products. Some non-100% EDTA chelates may not be compatible.

• In a small container prior to full scale mixing, proportionally mix all the components to confirm compatibility.

• Thorough mixing of all blends is important.• Temperature and storage time can influence the

degree of success.• Mix only the amount that will be immediately used.• Long-term storage is not suggested.

MIXING PROCEDURE

• Add ½ of total water to spray tank• Start recirculation in the tank• Add micronutrients and or any other flowable material• Add any soluble powder first pre-mixing with water• Add the recommended amount of liquid fertilizer• Add remaining water volume and continue

recirculation prior to spraying

For more specific foliar guidelines, consult with BW FUSION for fertility recommendations.

BW 20-0-7.5-5S mixes readily with liquid fertilizers, insecticides and herbicides. However, it is recommended that a compatibility test be used before mixing with specific fertilizers and pesticides.

PRODUCT APPLICATIONBW 20-0-7.5-5S may be applied as a foliar spray, soil applied or injected through a irrigation system. BW 20-0-7.5-5S may be applied to most field crops at a rate of up to 5 gallons per acre. Use a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre. Various environmental and agronomic factors, such as crop stress associated with high temperatures and dry condi-tions, make it impossible to eliminate all risks associated with the use of this product.

GENERAL INFORMATION0.63 lbs/gal of Nitrogen, out of 2.525 lbs/gal of the total Nitrogen in this product, is controlled release. 25-0-0 Plus 0.5% B is a unique foliar fertilizer that contains polymethylene urea solution, a patent pending, controlled release organic nitrogen source. 25-0-0 Plus 0.5% B is a foliar fertilizer intended as a supplement to a regular fertilizer program and will not by itself provide all the nutrients required by crops or other intended plants. Successful nitrogen application rates are dependent upon a number of factors, such as soil type, organic matter content, soil nitrate level, previous crop, irrigation or non-irrigation, variety, planting date, etc. Unexpected weather variations make preplant and/or early season nitrogen application rates difficult to recommend. To achieve efficiency, nitrogen fertilizer use should be considered as a dependent production variable. Total nitrogen applied will depend upon the needs of the developing plant and those environmental factors responsible for the production system in each field. Soil test recommendations and specific nitrogen rates are usually for average conditions only. For efficient nitrogen use, use starter fertilizer band applications during cultivation and foliar applications of 25-0-0 Plus 0.5% B.
