Parents are welcome to come for the dress rehearsal to take pictures &

video; however you must remain in the audience.

Professional Photos:

Should you choose to participate, Grins2Go will be taking professional photos in costume in the backstage area on Sat . Dec. 21, 2019. All performers will have the opportunity to get their picture taken from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm before the performance call time. These photos will be available for purchase through Grins2Go. Order forms can be found on the MAPA website and forms will also be available in our dance studios at a later date.

MAKE-UP:

Girls - foundation, pencil eyeliner, waterproof mascara, blush, red lipstick

Boys - brown blush & brown lipstick, mascara or pencil eyeliner

Additional make-up needs will be provided on-site for the following groups: Toy Dolls, Mice, Soldiers, and Polichinelles.

HAIR: All dancers (only exception Chinese ) should arrive on Thurs, Fri, & Sat with their hair in a high, tight, secure bun sprayed with hair spray.

* If hair is too short for a bun call Kathleen Schulz at 283-0375

for ideas.

Chinese- please arrive with hair in two buns on either side of the head above the ears (like a panda bear)

COSTUMES: Dancers will be fitted on dates listed on page 3 at the MAPA studios in Wailuku. All dancers will be responsible for taking their costumes home with them and their care. Please wear costumes to both Dress Rehearsals & Performances (12/19 - 21).

What to Bring to Performance…

All dancers must come with supplies to touch-up their hair and make-up (hair brush, hair pins, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick required) as well as a sweater and water.

Please provide your child with quiet activities they can do while waiting for their turn (i.e. reading materials, coloring books with crayons, cards, etc.). Please do not bring markers or games/toys that make noise.

NOTE: All jewelry (including rings, earrings, necklaces, etc.) and fingernail polish must be removed prior to dress rehearsals and performances.

For All MACC days, dancers must arrive Thurs, Fri, & Sat with theirMAPA costume and required shoes, tights and leotards (see list below). All MAPA costumes will be collected by group chaperones and returned to Kathleen Schulz following the Saturday 3pm performance. Do NOT take any MAPA costumes home on Saturday after the performance. All costumes are MAPA property except for the below items and are subject to for missing costumes/accessories.$250 fee

Russian, Angels, & Polichinelle: Pink ballet shoes, theatrical pink tights, flesh camisole leotard

Party Girls & Clara: Pink ballet shoes with pointe shoe ribbons (European pink, 7/8”-1”), theatrical pink tights, flesh camisole leotard

Soldiers, Fritz, Boys & Prince: Black jazz shoes (Soliders: Tan tights)

Doves, Snow & Waltz: Pink ballet shoes with pointe shoe ribbons (European pink, 7/8”-1”), theatrical pinks tights, flesh low back camisole leotard

Spanish Dancers: Pink ballet shoes, theatrical pink tights, flesh camisole leotard
