DRIFTscapeAeolian is wind’s ability to shape earth’s surface through the process of erosion & deposition. Wind’s power of erosion can be defined by two factors: velocity & surface roughness. Deposition of materials is dictated by the direction of the wind.
Drift is the method of materials being transported from one spot to another. The eroded materials get carried by wind to be deposited in a new place, meaning drift is the process in between erosion & deposition. Not all materials travel the same distance, some only travel to a very short distance & others travel much longer. This simple phenomenon allows the Aeolian process to be portrayed in a simple and neat manner.

creating steep hills
in some areas & flat
in others.
these small entities can be exmained in terms of spercity. the spercity of particle is a direct meassure of distance that particle has travelled. also as these objects are pushed forward by the wind they change their shape, just like various dunes types.

Roundness simply define the “smoothness” of the grain. The roundness of a particle is a direct measure of the distance that particle travelled & the harshness during transportation.The sphericity of a particle influences erosion, transportation, & deposition patterns.
