Everyone needs a companion in life-the one to whom we can talk, study with, play, share our joys and sorrows and do many more things. Yes he/she is a friend! My best friend’s name is Sau-rav. He is tall and thin. He looks smart but has weak vision. His complexion is dark. He is dedicated towards his work. He is diligent and loyal. He is the one whom I can trust with my closed eyes. He is good at studies but he is passionate about Science. Every time he tries some new experiments. He is an optimist and always thinks positive. Beside this he plays cricket and lawn tennis well. He wants to become an automobile engineer and works hard to achieve his goal. He is caring but he hates pet. He is not just my friend, he is like a brother to me.

It has now been more than 60 years when the motor vehicles made a foray on the roads of our country India. But at that point of time no one could have imagined that these 'Pollution Pumps', the so-called motor vehicles, would have such an adverse effect on the environ-ment.According to a reliable source every month al-most 12, 00,000 motor vehicles find their place on the roads across India. It is not surprising that the deadly devils will become dangerous in future. Due to the increase in number of motor vehicles, there is serious threat of pollution, causing skin problems, asthma and many other ailments. Moreover, as a result of the reign of motor vehi-cles on the roads, the flora and fauna of our country is also begging for existence. Earlier limited people used to drive motor vehicles but now a 6th grade child is also driving Activa and others too pressurize their parents to gift two wheeler on their birthdays. To just simply snap or speak some magical words is not the solution to the great evil unless awareness among the public is not spread on a massive scale. The government should promote the use of pub-lic transport by making it efficient and comfort-able. These little steps will surely lead to a better future for mankind. We need to realize the urgency of the situation. Why wait till tomorrow? START TODAY!
