DESCRIPTION NPPH-550 is a derivative of Guar gum, which is a pure Natural Polymer. Guar Gum plays an important role as masking and coating agent. It is industrially useful polysaccharide that hydrate in hot or cold water to form viscous solutions, dispersions or gels. NUPH-550 having a good binding and emulsifying property. FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES Guar Gum is coated by Simethicone, When conventional neutralizing antacid salts compounds are associated with a Guar Gum coated Simethicone, exhibits a remarkable antacid activity which lasts for a prolonged period of time, in contrast with a control solution without Guar Gum. The Quantity of Guar Gum in the composition used should be enough to provide a suspension viscous enough to adhere to the Oesogastroduodenal lining and be slowly dissociate in the Oesogastroduodenal secretions to provide a very slow release of active ingredients. The combination of coated Gaur Gum and alkaline antacid salt is generally in the amount of about 0.2g Guar Gum for 15 to 20 ml of water to form a suspension, that is about 1.2% of Guar gum w/v.
