Pipe Lining Process

1. Identify the Problem by Sewer Camera

2. Clean the pipesThe first step is to clean out all roots and descale anycalcite, etc. in order to return the pipe back to itsoriginal functioning diameter. To do this we either jetthe lines or use pneumatic tools such as the scorpioncutter shown in the video above.

3. Install the linerThe length of liner needed is cut, a custom two partepoxy is mixed and poured in to permeate the feltliner. The saturated liner is then pulled in place, thebladder is inflated and the curing begins. Once theepoxy lining has cured, the bladder is extracted,

leaving a complete structural pipe within a pipe.

4. Insuring QualityTo insure that the job has been performed perfectly, acamera is done to inspect the work and you receive acopy of this as well.

In 2003, Sarasota County wasforced to haul 1.4 milliongallons of excess ground waterthat had infiltrated their Sewagesystem at a single pump station.

Since lining that neighborhoodsmains and laterals the over flowproblem virtually disappeared.

The savings on overflow watertreatment is in the MILLIONS fora SINGLE PUMP STATION.

Sarasota County has between40 and 50 active pump stationsat any given time.

Pipe Renewal and Coating Process

1. Prepare pipesFaucets and fixtures are disconnected and usingthose existing connection points, the pipes aredrained and dried with heated air.

2. Clean the pipesUsing the same compressed air, the pipes are sandblasted to remove corrosion and rust and to preparethe inside of the pipes for epoxy coating.

3. Install the epoxyA patented two-part epoxy is mixed and blown intothe pipes using compressed air. Using valves to controlthe process, the epoxy is spread to an even layerthroughout the entire piping system.

4. Curing and reconnectionThe epoxy cures in 24 hours and the fixtures arereconnected and put back in service.
