LEADERSHIP CAMP

Every year University of Mumbai organizes Leadership Development residential Camp at Badlapur. As per instruction two NSS volunteers participated in this camp.

SAVE THE ELECTRICITY PROJECT

NSS volunteers actively participated in “SAVE THE ELECTRICITY PROJECT”. They approached different households in their locality to explain to the people the importance of saving electricity. They collected electricity bills (wherever possible) every month to get an idea about the consumption pattern.

Blood Donation and Thalassemia check – up

The N.S.S. units arranged a blood donation camp and Thalassemia check – up with the help of Bombay hospital to collect and provide blood to the needy. Total of 75 blood donors donated their blood (No. of willing donors was 156) and the enthusiasm of the people was praised worthy. The Dr. M.V. Kagalkar, Principal, Sydenham College was Chief Guest of the function. This even was carried out in association with Bombay Hospital.

NSS unit had carried out collection drive for Uttarakhand flood affected peoples. The total fund collected was Rs. 27,000/ which was deposited in Uttarakhand CM relief fund account.

More than 80 NSS Volunteers and the students of our college celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm .

NSS volunteers had also participated in Fearless Day Book Publication at Anjuman Islam, CST.



The NSS unit of Sydenham College organized seven days residential Camp at Dahanu Road Kosbad hill during 06h Jan 2013 to 12th Jan 2013. The activities such as Tree Plantation, Free Medical Camp, Educational Projects, Survey to nearby Padas to identify their needs, Street Play on the issues Highlighting the Importance of Cleanliness, Savings, Education and Andhadhradha Nirmulan,were performed
