Now sleep during office hours

NOW SLEEP DURING OFFICE HOURS Imagine if your boss tells you “You can sleep during office hours!” How each one of us wishes to hear this statement right??? Let me tell you how this crazy thought came in my mind. A couple of days back as I was going through the headlines of a newsletter, one of them captured my attention which read “How to hack your Brain”. On further reading I came across an article which said you can manipulate your sleep to stay energetic most of the time of the day. You can hack your brain and set the sleep timings in such a way that you stay awake most of the time and give in your best. Picture this: You sleep just for 2 hours and still be as fresh as ever without any problems. Normally each one of us sleeps for an average of 7-8 hours a day at a stretch during night and still sometimes wake up complaining about little rest and sleep. It is called monophasic sleep where you remain awake for 16-18 hours a day (most of us work for these many hours right?) and rest of the hours you sleep. In biphasic sleep you divide your sleep into 2 phases: few mins in the noon (siesta) and remaining hours in the night (core sleep). For example you sleep for 1 hour in the noon and 5-6 hours in the night. The polyphasic sleep defines a 20 min nap 6 times a day to remain fresh and be efficient. But this requires a lot of discipline and firmness with respect to the hours between sleep and also time of sleep. A miss of nap can lead to disturbance in the schedule and may result in fatigue. Though for me it seems almost next to impossible to practise this regime but looking at the benefits I feel this can be worth a shot. I feel this kind of sleep is best suited for soldiers and army men who have to be awake most of the time to serve the country. For further reading you can visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphasic_sleep So next time feel free to snore in your office and also delay the work assigned by your boss by 20-30 mins as your sleep schedule is more important!!!!

NOW SLEEP DURING OFFICE HOURS

Imagine if your boss tells you “You can sleep during office hours!” How each one of us wishes to hear this statement right???
