What led you to your current position at Sodexo? After the closing of a popular eatery I helped open in Chicago, I was fortunate enough to land the Executive Chef position at Covenant Village of Northbrook. I felt it would be a different type of challenge to work in healthcare, taking after my grandfather, who spent over 30 years working in the kitchens at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. Seven great years later and focusing on the future, I aspire to become a Culinary Director, Corporate Executive Chef, Research and Development or Regional Executive Chef and possibly go abroad as an employee of Sodexo. What is your typical day like? A typical day at CVON may consist of employee training and production meetings, menu development, meeting with the catering department to discuss upcoming events, meeting with our resident’s dining council, and working on marketing

current and future events. I also manage the healthcare kitchen and plan and develop and design the CVON cooking show Fine Dining with Chef Evans. What is the best part of working for Sodexo? Cashier Interview I applied in-person. The process took 2 days Interview: The interview process was very quick and easy for me. I love working for the company I just didn't like being laid off without pay. I would return to this company if it wasn't for the layoffs. I enjoyed the company and management. Interview Questions:

• What made you apply for this job? Customer Service Specialist Interview I applied online. The process took 2 weeks Interview: I sat and chat for about 30 minutes. Then I took a personality quiz for sodexo, required. The Quiz only took about 10 minutes total to complete. Very easy process. Interview Questions:

• Name a time you've helped someone in need.

Cashier Interview I applied online Interview: Applied on snag a job received a call the next day went on the interview the next week had to fill out an application then he told me which positions where available Interview Questions:

• What is your work experience? Dish Washer Interview I applied online - NOT HIRED Interview: The interview seems to have been okay. The process of hiring is kind of complicated to me because it requires you to dog into your past. That's really not a problem, yet I am at that half of one hundred ages and it requires deep thinking.

Barista/Banquet Server Interview I applied through other source Interview: interviewer really wanted to know previous experience. Hiring process was fast and working within that week. The manager wanted to know how much experience I had with barista and banquet serving. They still were willing to train but, it was a add bonus that I had the experience already. Interview Questions: None pretty straight forward... Cook Interview I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day Interview: It was basic what u know kind of interview. Everyone can take it and all u have to do is share ur experience and what kind of measure u take to handle certain problems Interview Questions:

• Where did u work? • How did u manage certain problems?

Line Cook Interview I applied online. The process took 1 day Interview: The interview was a Fast but accurate one, was asked on my experience on the field and if any educational level along with it plus certifications, state laws knowledge and overall trouble shooting on situations that may come during the work hours and how to solve them on a timely matter.

Interview Questions: • Was asked about my experience in the culinary

field. If I had any knowledge on short orders plus follow recipes and portioning. Negotiation: Was not able to negotiate any wages or benefits, was told benefits will start after 90 days and

automatically you will be made Full Time, still waiting from my Manager after 120 days to hear when I be made Full Time. Prep Line Interview I applied online. The process took 3 weeks Interview: The interview consisted of a 30 minute interview consisting of mainly behavioral and situational questions. The interview process for this position was pretty informal, and I was presented with a job offer at the end of the interview Interview Questions:

• Describe a time when you were faced with a problem in the workplace. How did you resolve it?

The process took 3 days Interview: I explained that I was a Cook, and the Operation Manager at the time said that they did not need Cooks but they needed Cashiers. And he told me the pay was $8.75 an hour even though I had tons of work experience.
