Season's Greetings from all of us at SRI! With the holiday season upon us, we are now in our busiest time of the year! November has seen our rescue phone ringing off the hook about grey pups in need. Our team has been flat out caring for our little pups, all the while organizing a great number of releases for healthy pups to return to the wild! While we bid farewell to eight of our remaining common pups and nine grey pups this month, we still have 38 hungry pups in care and counting! As our centre will remain closed to the public, our dedicated staff can devote all their energy to looking after these little guys as the stormy seas show no sign of calming. Read on to see what SRI has been up to in November and what's coming up for us in December! Seal Of The Month! Meet our seal of the month, Réalt! He is a grey seal who was found in Portmarnock, Co. Dublin on the 3rd of November. His name is the Irish word for star, which is extra fitting as his rescue will be documented by TG4 (the Irish language TV network) for a special documentary. Look out for that in the new year! When he arrived with us, Réalt was exhausted and dangerously emaciated. He also had a parasite infection and was heavily congested, which was contributing to his poor condition and would have prevented him from hunting properly. Water November Pupdate!
