LOUISIANA CAPITAL CITY OBEDIENCE CLUB SATURDAY, November 4 at 10:00 AM Members of the LCCOC will bring different dog breeds and discuss training and responsible pet
ownership. The dogs will then show the results of the training! For children ages 3-11, but the
whole family is invited. Please register.

Branch Children’s Room and write what you are thankful for on a fall leaf
cutout. Then, you can tape your leaf to our big tree on the wall and see
what other kids are thankful for this year.

Thanksgiving by Julie Markes. Afterwards, you can make a colorful turkey craft
to take home. For ages 3-7. Please register to ensure your spot.
GET IN THE GAME SATURDAY, November 25 at 11:00 AM In celebration of National Game & Puzzle Week, we’ll have some fun games in the morning! Come
and play Twister, Tumbling Towers, Simon Says and more at the Fairwood Branch! For children

FAB BOOK CLUB TUESDAY, November 28 at 4:30 PM We’ll be “drawing it out” at the FAB (Fairwood Awesome Bookworms) Book
Club this month! First we’ll read scenes from the book Ellie McDoodle: Best
Friends Fur-Ever by Ruth McNally Barshaw. The story is told through Ellie’s
writings and drawings in her sketch journal. You’ll also get to try out our own
character drawings and make a simple sketchbook to take home. For children
ages 7-12. Register to ensure your spot.

Join us for a fun-filled time of stories, rhymes, and songs!
Toddler Storytime - Tuesdays, November 7 and 14 at 10:30 AM
Join us for a fun-filled time of stories, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays! For children walking through 2 years old. Sessions are informal and last 20-25 minutes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. [Groups must register in advance.] Preschool Storytime—Thursdays, November 2, 9 and 16 at 10:30 AM Join us for a fun-filled time of stories, rhymes, and songs! Suitable for children ages 3-5. Sessions last 30 minutes. Children can attend without an adult, but the adult must stay in the library [Groups must register in advance.] Storytimes are meant to be fun and non-stressful for children. Because children’s chronological ages do not always coincide with their emotional ages, children may elect to be in a younger or older class. Simply talk to one of our library staff.
