The Northeastern Arts Network announces Beyond Words, Bill Bowers’ award winning solo play, comes to the Glasgow High School auditorium on Monday, November 11th at 7:00 p.m., direct from four performances in New York City as part of the All For One Festival that ended on November 2nd. Monica Bauer wrote in The Huffington Post, “The journey of this young boy from the Big Sky country of one of the USA’s most under populated western states (Montana) becomes something much, much more than a series of ‘amusing things that happened. That’s because the performer is Bill Bowers, who may be the most talented American mime of his generation, and when he uses those skills, he creates moments etched with a diamond-cutter’s precision, and the artist’s bold claim to deep truths. These moments are likely to remain with you long after the lights come up.” A native Montanan, Bill holds an MFA from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, and an Honorary PhD from Rocky Mountain College (where he received his undergraduate degree). Bill studied with the legendary Marcel Marceau for three years. As an actor, mime and educator, Bill Bowers has traveled throughout all 50 of the United States, Europe Need a good laugh before Bill Bowers takes the Glasgow High School
auditorium stage on Monday night? Check him out at www.billbowers.com. — this guy is absolutely hilarious.

Mime can be wonderful – the air between him and us is his palette.” The Glasgow Speech & Drama Team along with the Northeastern Arts Network is hosting Bill Bowers in a workshop on Saturday, November 9th at the high school. This workshop is for high school and adult actors. For more information, contact Sharon LaBonty at 228-9208. Tickets for the Bill Bowers’ concert are available at the door. 15th Annual Remembrance Tree to support Glasgow’s Block of Bucks The Student Council at Glasgow High School is sponsoring their annual Remembrance Tree program to remember our loved ones who have passed on. A tree filled with lights to commemorate those loved ones will be on display throughout the holiday season in front of the Valley County Pioneer Museum. To include your loved ones, contact any Student Council member or adviser, or the high school office at 228-2485. Also, if you would like to purchase a bulb to recognize the men and women serving in our armed forces and stationed around the world, you may do that as well. Bulbs may be obtained by December 6th for a $5 donation. A lighting ceremony for the Remembrance Trees is scheduled for Sunday, December 8th at 4:00 p.m. The tree will be lit daily from December 8th to December 31st. The community is invited to attend the initial lighting ceremony at the Pioneer Museum and refreshments will be served. Proceeds from the Remembrance Tree will be donated to the Annual Block of Bucks. Through your generosity, over $21,000 has been donated to the Block of Bucks from support of the Remembrance Tree.

Good Morning All: Our family has two boys playing football for the Huntley Project Red Devils. We wanted to let you know how impressed we were with the players, staff, and fans of Glasgow during our playoff game Saturday. As fans, we were greeted with smiles and friendly conversation throughout the afternoon. Later we learned that your team brought snacks to our team bus for the ride home – what an unexpected treat! We were directed to the “visiting team” area of the stands and received advance notice about the student section where kids would be standing throughout the game. The invitation to partake in the Booster Club’s chili was another nice bonus. Most importantly, the sportsmanship displayed by players, coaches and even the fans made the day memorable and enjoyable for us despite the outcome of the game! Please let your Board, coaches and especially your students know that we very much appreciated their sportsmanship, hospitality and good manners. Good luck to the Glasgow Scotties for the remainder of the playoffs! Best Regards, Mike and Sue Vinton
