**** FROM THE PASTOR ****

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, as we move into the final weeks of our Liturgical Year our scriptures focus more and more on the

confrontation of Jesus with the Jewish leaders leading to his final confrontation and his sacrificial death. These readings call on

us to reflect on the final days and the final judgement. The Feast of Christ the King marks the end of the Liturgical Year on Sunday,

December 2nd in just four weeks.

Liturgical Environment Committee

As I mentioned the last two week we will be looking for parishioners to volunteer to form a Liturgical Environment Committee.

If you are interested in using your artistic and creative talents in the service of the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church this committee

might be perfect for you. I will be working with you as I did with Janet and Deacon Bob. Along with Fr. Ray, we will guide what

we hope will become a committee of dedicated and fun-loving volunteers.

If you are interested contact either Fr. Steve or Fr. Ray. We will be holding a meeting for those interested on Monday, November

13th, in the Rackley Room at 7:15 pm. Come and see what it is all about! By coming to the meeting, you are not committing

yourself. You can make that decision later.

School Rental

I am happy to let you know that we are about to get a rental for the school. The North Jersey Friendship House is going to be renting

our school. We hope to sign the lease with them shortly. The lease is currently being discussed by our Archdiocesan attorneys.

Below is a description of the North Jersey Friendship House. The Friendship House will be doing some upgrading of the school

as part of their lease.

North Jersey Friendship House is a non-profit organization who’s mission is to build the skills of individuals with varying abilities

and developmental needs by providing, within a safe haven, comprehensive clinical treatment, vocational training and work

opportunities in order to achieve meaningful and productive lives. The services provided by North Jersey Friendship House are

designed to address the unique needs and goals of the individual. Our programs include day treatment, supported employment

services and an adults with autism day program.

The NJ Friendship House will be sharing our facilities and will not interfere with our Religious Education Programs. If you would

like to read more about them, you can go to their website: [email protected]

May God bless you,

Fr. Stephen Cinque

Foundation.
