Parish will be leading a pilgrimage from May 10-19,
2019. The highlight of the visit to Fatima will be
midnight (May 12-13) procession with the statue of the

READY TO SERVE: Protection of Minors and
Vulnerable Adults: The Canadian Bishops declare
that "the call and commitment to serve God and
the People of God involves accepting certain
responsibilities as individuals and as members of
our communities." When this commitment is made
by the whole community, we become like
Jesus, who did not come to be served but to serve.
(Mk 10:45) Volunteer Screening is our way to
participate in this vital mission. It is an act of love
and fidelity to our parish community. All registered
parishioners are invited to participate in volunteer
screening, to assist our community in creating and
maintaining a safe and loving environment for our
children and vulnerable people. The Parish Screening
Coordinator will guide you through the steps to initiate
and maintain your Volunteer Screening credentials.
Once you have your credentials you are ready to
support our children and youth ministries such as Share
the Word Children’s Liturgy and our outreach ministries
such St. Anthony’s Panty Christmas Hamper program
as your time allows. Please attend the volunteer
screening clinic on Saturday, November 10, 10 – 11
am in the Vatican II Hall to initiate your volunteer
screening, or contact Heather Schilling, Parish
Screening Coordinator at the parish office: 403-252-
1137 or [email protected].
A WARM WELCOME TO NEW PARISHIONERS:
Kindly introduce yourselves to our parish priest.
Registration forms are located in the Hall foyer and on
our website: stanthonyscalgary.com. Please fill in
the information and return it either in the Sunday
collection basket or to the Parish Office. It is our
sincere hope that you will participate actively in our
liturgies, various ministries and social events.
CHALICE invites you to share the blessings of
Christmas with children in the developing world. The
Chalice Christmas Gift Catalogue offers you the

FR. JACK’S CHUCKLE
Two worldly men saw an elderly churchgoer coming down the street. One man pointed toward her. “I’ll bet you can’t mention anybody that old Miss Thompson can’t find something good to say about.” The other fellow called the bet. “Good Morning, Miss Thompson,” he said politely. “What do you think about the devil?” Miss Thompson cocked her perky little head over to one side. “Well” she answered, “there is one good thing about him. He is always on the job.”
