Director’s Message

"Don't neglect to show hospitality, for by doing this some have welcomed angels as guests without knowing it." (Hebrews 13:2)

During this period of Advent, a time of waiting, expectation and preparation we have the

opportunity to slow down, talk and listen to God who helps us get ready for the coming

of the Christ child. As the students rehearse their songs, lines and music for the

Christmas play, and the performances for the seniors, the teachers have been taking the

time to talk to them about why we are performing – to celebrate the birth of our Lord.

During this joyous time, as we gather together with family and friends, we carry on

traditions that help our children to enjoy the presence of the people who provide them

with stability, love and faith. It is a wonderful opportunity to remind them to be thankful

people. The innkeeper at Bethlehem learned a valuable lesson when he accepted those

whom everyone else had rejected. He shared in the joy of Christ’s birth.

I look forward to seeing you at our Christmas concert on December 15th.

Mrs. Georganne MacKenzie,

Director

A Trip To the Library On Wednesday, November 2, grade one and grade two

went to the library. First, Jason the librarian told us

Finally, we got to take the books home. - Marcus A.

Remembrance Day On November 11th, the students and teachers at

Lakeshore gathered to honour the people who gave

their life so that we may live in peace. Students

participated in a ceremony that included singing the famous

poem “In Flanders Field”, and observing two minutes of

silence.

“We should take this very special day to thank the veterans for giving us free-

dom and peace. On November 11th, it is

not only our privilege, but our duty to

commemorate those that fought and died for us and our future generations.” John Zajac

Academy's annual Talent Show. The

presentations this year were both unique and

creative. The audience was entertained by

performances that included: dog tricks, karate,

singing, dancing, piano

playing, and much more! A special

thank you is given to the members of

MGA’s Student Parliament who

helped host and organize the

show. God has given each of us

abilities and gifts, and it is our
