The Yorkshire Pudding started at Countryside Live and finished at the Live and Carcase Competition at John Penny’s, Rawdon visiting many local attractions on route. It had great PR coverage – Facebook was a big hit, was Live on Stray FM and made appearances in many local newspapers. Big Thanks to Ripon Farm Services & Ripon Trailer Centre, Ribblesdale Land Rover & Trailer Trailer – it just wouldn’t of been possible without you. D&M Committee Chairman – Kirsty Searby. It’s been pretty busy at D&M in the last month. You will no doubt have seen our Giant Yorkshire Pudding touring the County during New Members Week – thank you to all those that were involved. NEW MEMBERS WEEK – what a week!!! 22nd – 29th October 2016

Don’t forget our new range of YFYFC hoodies and coats that are available to buy. They are just right to keep you warm when
out and about in winter.
Live & CarcaseWell done to all Members who competed at this year’s Live & Carcase on Saturday 29th October. Big Thanks must go to all at John Penny’s, Rawdon – this is a great venue and once again all stock and carcases were a great standard. It was a chilly day but this didn’t stop the members from turning up and trying to qualify through to English Winter Fair. Full results will be on the Website soon but trophy winners were – Josh Ryder for pigs and Emily Farrar for beef.
Countryside Live 2016YFYFC were in attendance at Countryside Live and thanks
to everyone that helped out on the stand. Events like
these are a crucial part of the annual calendar letting
people know about YFC and recruiting new members.
CLUB OF THE MONTHNidderdale yfc has had an eventful year. The club is pulling together and is now
really well attended by a good group of committed members.We have a very full and active programme including interesting talks, visits and
trips to feed mills, vets and the British Wool Board.Nidderdale yfc hosted the end of year district sports which was well attended by the district clubs playing rounders in the show field. Everyone had a fun evening.
During the year the members did lots of fund raising including carol singing, cakes stalls and number boards donating £300 to Epilepsy Action.

Travel with YFCLove travelling and love YFC? Then why not get involved with the YFC travel programme.
Past travellers have tackled white water rapids in Canada, helped out in an ice cream factory in Sweden, shorn sheep in New Zealand and built schools in Uganda. Participants experience another way of life by
living it, seeing new places, making new friends and soaking in new cultures.
Applications for all YFC Travel trips must be received at the NFYFC office by no later than 11th November 2016.
