outstanding finishes at theBicentennial Athletic League(BAL), District 1 and PIAAchampionships. Dunkley placed

9th at BAL, 5th at District 1 and 108th at PIAA (out of 223runners), while Yoonis placed 8th, 3rd and 48th at thosechampionships, respectively. Both boys were named 1st teamALL-BAL for their finishes.

Micheal Eric '07 stopped byyesterday to visit with thestudents, offer his advice onfollowing dreams and, ofcourse, play some basketball!Eric, who played at TempleUniversity after CFS with a fullathletic scholarship, has beenplaying in the NBA and its

D-League for the past few years, and talked about how beingsidelined by various injuries hasn't wavered his commitmentto "looking at the big picture" and persevering toward hisgoals.

Joey Shelton '14 returned toCFS on his first visit home fromWashington College inMaryland. We love when ouralums look back, come backand give back. If you're in thearea, never hesitate to stop by!

CFS Recognized for Solar Program Since January 2013, ChurchFarm School has beenpowering more than 80% ofits campus' annual electricityneeds (at less than marketrates) through its five-acre,1.1 megawatt solar array. InSeptember, the Solar EnergyIndustries Association (SEIA)

announced the findings of a report by The Solar Foundation(TSF) with support from SEIA detailing the "explosive growth"in the use of solar energy in K-12 schools in the U.S. ChurchFarm School ranks 28th among 3,727 schools in thenation that utilize solar energy to cut their electricity costs.

Christopher Gramlich Joins Math DepartmentJoin us in welcoming ChrisGramlich to CFS! Mr. Gramlichis a recent graduate of PennState University, where heearned a B.S. in mathematicsas well as secondary educationwith a math option. He spentsix weeks as a long-term mathsubstitute in Upper MerionSchool District last spring.Originally from West Chester,Mr. Gramlich will be teachingPre-Calculus, Calculus and

Financial Algebra, and supports Garrett Cottage on Mondaynights.

Ardrossan Beagles On Sunday, November 30 at2:00 p.m., the ArdrossanBeagles, founded on theprinciple of the sport of thechase, will hold a children'shunt in the fields near ourbarns. During the hour-longhunt, the beagles, led byhuntsman Francis Jacobs,will attempt to find and chase

one or more of the rabbits that reside in that area with thechildren following closely behind. Each participating child willhave his or her own beagle to follow, identified by a colorfulribbon attached to the beagle's collar. Refreshments will followthe hunt.

Annual Fund The 2014-2015 CFS AnnualFund drive is underway. Weare looking for increased ratesof participation among ourparents, alumni, faculty/staffand friends. Income fromtuition covers less than 10% ofour annual operating expenses.Contact Director ofDevelopment Peter Corrado at
