“Impact Estate has been appointed as the sales and marketing agent for Rayyan Residence”

Tell us a bit about your background and work experience.

I have been sailing on the south coast of England for as long as I can remember. I became an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Sailing instructor in 2001 and have been teaching ever since. Over the years, I have gotten to know and love more and more water sports, most recently my Level 2 Coach’s award for Wakeboarding and Waterskiing.

How long have you been working at BISS?

I started here a month ago and looking forward to exciting new things that will be happening.

What activities are offered at BISS?

BISS offers a variety of water sports such as wakeboarding, wake surfing, waterskiing, kite surfing, diving, powerboat training, fishing trips, and luxury charters. We pretty much do anything fun on or in the water!

Where are you located?

Amwaj Marina or on a beach near you

Are the activities for residents and marina members only, or can non-residents use the facilities?

Everyone is welcome to all our activities. We encourage everyone to book at least 24 hours in advance

as the slots fill up fairly quickly!

What else do we have to look forward to in the coming year at BISS?

We are proud to be the only RYA recognized Powerboat School in Bahrain and we are going to be adding RYA Sailing Lessons to the courses we can teach.

How do you feel the new activities have benefitted Amwaj Marina and its visitors?

It has opened up the sea to all those who don’t own a boat, showing all the fun that can be had on the huge playground that surrounds Bahrain but is barely used.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m originally from England and came to Bahrain to avoid an English winter. It’s nearly 8 years later I- think I’m staying!

What do you do in your spare time?

Pretty much the same as when I’m at work, however I get to play this time!
