NO.GH/SH/44/2017/PVS/102013/317/S :-In exercise ofthe powers of conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20 read with section 4 and 5 of the Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulations of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007 (Guj. 2 of 2008), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further amended the Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses(Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules 2013, namely:-

(I) These rules may be called the Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) (Amendment) Rules, 2017.

(2) In the Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Technology and Bachelor of Interior Design Courses (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2013, after rule.4A., following rule shall be inserted, namely:-

"4B. Special provision relating to Admission inCEPT University:-Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, admissions in the

Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Technology and

Bachelor of Interior Design in CEPT University established under the CEPT

University Act, 2005 (Guj. 24 of 2005) shall be granted in the following

manner, namely:-

(I) Fifty percent seats of the total sanctioned seats shall be tilled as Government seats from the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination in accordance with rule 5 from the schools located in the State of Gujarat and shall be filled by the Admission Committee constituted under section 4 of the Act on the basis of the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee;

Distribution of seats for Admission in Bachelor of Architecture for CEPT University. (i) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination, 90%

from the Gujarat Board or Technical Examination Board, Gujarat State or obtained Diploma from a University or institution located in Gu.Larat State·

(ii) The candidates who have studied in the schools located in the 10% Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-

(a) The Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or (b) The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination Board,

(c) The Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate; or (d) The National Institute of open Schooling.

Distribution of seats for Admission in Bachelor of Interior Design and Bachelor of ConS_truction Technology for CEPT University.

(i) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination, from the Gularat Board (ii) The candidates who have studied in the schools located in the Gujarat State and have passed the qualifying examination from,-

(a) The Central Board of Secondary Education Board; or (b) The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination

Board, New Delhi; or (c) The Diploma obtained from International Baccalaureate; or (d) The National Institute of open Schooling.

(2) Fifty percent seats shall be filled by the CEPT University for,-

(a) Bachelor of Architecture by the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination as per rule 5 from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have scored minimum valid marks as declared by Council of Architecture in National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) for Bachelor of Architecture course. The merit list for these seats shall be based on clause (a) of sub-rule (2) of rule II.

To,

(b) Bachelor of Construction Technology by the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination in accordance with rule 5 from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have cleared Construction Technology Aptitude Test. The merit list for these seats shall be based on clause (b) ofsub-rule(2) of rule II.

(c) Bachelor of Interior Design by the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination in accordance with rule 5 from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have cleared Interior Design Aptitude Test. The merit I ist for these seats shall be based on the basis of on clause (c) of sub-rule(2) of rule II.
