OPTIMIST SAIL AT HOME INTERNATIONAL CUP NOTICE OF RACE

1. RULES / REGRAS

1.1 The Championship will be governed by the rules as implemented by the Virtual Regatta

Inshore game. O Campeonato será governado pelas regras, conforme implementadas pelo jogo Virtual regata Inshore

1.2 By registering to play the Championship, competitors accept the rules and terms of

engagement set out in this Notice of Race. Inscrevendo-se no Campeonato, os competidores aceitam as regras e os termos de participação estabelecidos neste Aviso de Regata.

1.3 A race will not be postponed, or abandoned in order to wait for any competitor with

connection or any other a problem. Uma regatta não será retardada, nem cancelada, para esperar, por falha de conexão, ou outro problema qualquer.

1.4 If the Race Committee loses the control of a race, the RC may abandon or postpone the

Race. A Comissão de Regatas poderá cancelar, ou retardar uma regata, caso perca o controle da mesma.

1.5 The boats used for the championship will be from Star, J-70, and 49er classes as

implemented in the game. Os barcos usados neste Campeonato, serão os das classes Star, J-70 e 49er, conforme implementados pelo jogo.

1.6 All references to any time will be considered the official Brasilia time (GMT -3). Todas as referências a horários serão baseadas no horário oficial de Brasília (GMT-3).

1.7 When a visual signal is displayed over a fleet(s) flag, the signal applies only to that

fleet(s). Quando um sinal visual for mostrado sobre uma bandeira de flotilha, o sinal se aplica apenas para aquela flotilha.

1.8 RC will decide about any undefined or unpredicted situation. A Comissão de regatas decidirá sobre qualquer assunto, indefinido, ou não previsto.

2. ADVERTISEMENT / PROPAGANDA

2.1 Competitors may have advertisement in your boat name (game id). Competidores poderão usar propaganda no nome de seus barcos (identificador do Jogo).

3. REGISTER AND ELEGIBILITY / ELEGIBILIDADE E REGISTRO

3.1 The Championship is open for all Optimist sailors, from all over the world registered at

the Virtual Regatta Inshore game and with access to a WhatsApp number. O Campeonato é aberto para todos os velejadores da classe Optimist, de qualquer parte do mundo, registrado no Virtual Regatta Inshore e com acesso a um número de WhatsApp.

3.2 Only the first 95 registered competitors will be allowed to compete. Somente poderão competir os primeiros 95 inscritos.

3.3 Registration is required and must be done since 00:00 on May 13th until 16:00 on May,

15th, at the website http://velaregata.velaviagem.com.br A preciso fazer inscrição e esta pode ser feita pelo site http://velaregata.velaviagem.com.br da 0:00 hora de 13 de maio até às 16:00 horas de 15 de maio.

3.4 The entry fee will be R$ 17,00. A Taxa de Inscrição será de R$ 17,00

3.5 During the registration process, the website will display a Paypal Button for the entry fee

payment. Durante o processo de Inscrição o Sistema mostrará um botão para pagamento da taxa de inscrição através do Paypal.

3.6 The competitor’s registration only will be concluded after the payment confirmation from

Paypal is received. Please do not send us any proof of payment, except if we request it.

A Inscrição de um competidor só estará concluída, após o recebimento da confirmação de pagamento enviada pelo Paypal. Por favor não envie nenhum comprovante de pagamento, a menos que seja solicitado.

4. COMPETITION FORMAT / FORMATO DA COMPETIÇÃO

4.1 The Championship will consist of a qualifying series followed by a final series. O Campeonato será constituído por uma Série Classificatória, seguida por uma série final.

4.2 QUALIFYING SERIES / SÉRIE CLASSIFICATÓRIA 4.2.1 Will be run on the first 3 days of competition. Será disputada nos primeiros 3 dias

de competição.

4.2.2 Competitors will be assigned daily to fleets of, nearly as possible, equal size.

Diariamente os competidores serão alocados em flotilhas de aproximadamente

a mesma quantidade de barcos.

4.2.3 For the first day boats will be sorted, by country letters and alphabetical order of

competitors’ name then assigned sequentially to each fleet as in 4.2.4 table. Para

o primeiro dia, os competidores serão ordenados pelas letras nacionais de seu

país e por ordem alfabética de seus nomes e depois alocados seguindo-se a

tabela em 4.2.4 4.2.4 Daily, after the first day of racing, competitors will be allocated to fleets based on

their series position as this table: Diariamente após todas as regatas, os competidores serão alocados nas flotilhas, com base em sua colocação geral na série, conforme tabela abaixo:

4.3 FINAL SERIES / SÉRIE FINAL 4.3.1 The final series will be run at the last day of the championship. A série final será

disputada no último dia do Campeonato.

4.3.2 The first 57competitors in the Qualifying Series, will run the Final Series. Boats

will be assigned to fleets based on their final position on the qualifying series, as

stated in this table: Os primeiros 57 competidores na fase classificatória disputarão a Fase Final. Os barcos serão alocados nas flotilhas, conforme sua classificação na série classificatória, seguindo a tabela abaixo:

4.3.3 Competitors qualified after 57th place in the Qualifying Series will not run the final

series and will keep this position as final. Competidores classificados após a 57ª posição na Fase Classificatória, não disputarão a fase final e terão essa posição como final.

5.1 12 races are scheduled for the qualifying series and 3 races are scheduled for the Final

Series. Estão programadas 12 regatas na Fase Classificatória e 3 Regatas para as Fase Final.

5.2 A race can start with at least 5 competitors. Uma regata poderá partir com pelo menos 5 competidores.

5.3 For final results, all competitors in Gold fleet will be better qualified than competitors in

Silver fleet, that will be better qualified than the ones in Bronze fleet, and so on. Para a classificação final, todos os competidores da flotilha Ouro, ficarão melhor classificados do que os competidores da flotilha Prata, que por sua vez, ficarão melhor classificados do que os competidores da flotilha Bronze.

6. COMUNICATION WITH COMPETITORS

6.1 All notices, signaling and communication between RC, and competitors will be published

on the Virtual Notice Board (championship WhatsApp group). Todos os avisos, sinalização e comunicação entre a CR e s competidores, será publicada no Quadro de Avisos Virtual (grupo do campeonato no WhatsApp)

6.2 During the races, all competitors shall pay attention on flag signals that may be displayed

trough the Virtual Notice Board. Durante as regatas todos os competidores deverão estar atentos à sinalização no Quadro de Avisos Virtual.

6.3 At Least 3 minutes before the Start procedure, the RC will display an Orange Flag, over

the fleet flag and the password for the race on the Virtual Notice Board. Ao menos 3 minutos antes do procedimento de largada a CR irá mostrar no Quadro de Avisos Virtual uma bandeira laranja, sobre a bandeira da flotilha e a senha da regata.

6.4 The AP flag displayed at the VNB, will be posted over the predicted time of the next

signal. A bandeira Recon, quando mostrada no Quadro Virtual de Avisos informará o horário previsto para a próxima sinalização.

7. SCORE / PONTUAÇÃO

7.1 The Low Point system will be used. Será usado o Sistema Linear 7.2 For each 5 races 1 discard will apply (So, 3 discards for Gold, Silver and Bronze, and 2

discards for the others). Haverá um descarte para cada 5 regatas (Logo 3 descartes para flotilhas Ouro, Prata e Bronze e 2 Descartes para os demais).

7.3 During Qualifying Series, RRS A4.2 is changed so the total number of competitors will

be the number of competitors of the biggest fleet. Durante a fase de classificação, RRV A4.2 é modificada de forma que o número total de competidores considerado, será o número de competidores na maior bateria.

7.4 During Final Series, RRS A4.2 is changed so the total number of competitors will be the number of competitors of each fleet. Durante a fase final, RRV A4.2 é modificada de forma que o número total de competidores considerado, será 19.

8. PROTEST, REDRESS AND PENALTIES / PROTESTO, REPARAÇÃO E PENALIDADES

8.1 Races will be umpired by the game and penalties applied immediately. As regatas serão arbitradas pelo jogo e as penalidades aplicadas imediatamente.

8.2 Races results are final and no protest or request for redress are allowed. O Resultado final de cada regata será definitivo e nenhum protesto, ou pedido de reparação será aceito.

9. PRIZES / PREMIAÇÂO

9.1 Prizes will be granted as follows: Serão oferecidos prêmios conforme abaixo: a) Overall: First, second and third places. Geral: 1º, 2º e 3º colocados. b) Country: First and second (Sum of points of 3 best sailors of each country) País: 1º

e 2º (soma da pontuação dos primeiros 3 velejadores de cada país) c) Under-12: First sailor born in 2009 or later: 1º competidor nascido em 2009 ou
