library! When you visit the display you may also view the Library Bill of Rights
and answer the question, ”What is the worst part of censorship?”
Support the Friends of NML by purchasing raffle tickets
for a handmade bookshelf quilt. The quilt is currently on
display in the library. Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for
$5.00. Tickets are available at the library’s circulation
desk. Drawing date: Friday, November 15, 2019.
Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program Pilot
NML has opted in to the Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program Pilot, a statewide initiative to strengthen library resource sharing across Maine. Simply put, patrons with cards in good standing from participating libraries may visit other participating libraries to browse and borrow materials.
The pilot begins Monday, September 16 and will run for one year. As of August 27, 67 Maine libraries have opted in.
This is in addition to the automated interlibrary loan system already in place that allows users to request items through the online Minerva catalog for pick up at NML.
If you have any questions about interlibrary loan using the Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program Pilot or the automated online system, please speak with staff at the library’s information desk.
