The Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (CCR)
Objectives:
• Identify the entities
• Serve as a link between the entities and the other registers
• Coordinate the exchange of information between registers
The Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (CCR)
Identification:
• The organization number – nine digit number – was introduced
• It replaced various registration numbers used earlier
• The organization number are provided by CCR– Each entity must therefore register in CCR before register in an
associated register
• One coordinated form instead of several forms

Working together
• Since 1st of July 2005– All public registers and public administrations in Norway are obliged
to re-use the data registered in the CCR, including the organization number.
• Available for public sector/administration through Web Services technology– Easy access – when needed – Identification – organization number

• Government bodies, counties and municipalities
• Companies, associations, foundations, bankruptcy estates and other legal entities
• Sole proprietorships
Information Content in CCR
• Name• Adress, telephone• Kind of entity• Kind of activity• Date of foundation• Contact person• Members of Board• Participants in general partnerships• Who has the right to sign• Power of attorney, Auditor and Accountant• Number of employees• Branch offices

The access rights in Altinn is based on role information from the Business Register and the Register for Legal Entities
What is Altinn?
Altinn is the Norwegian government’s portal for electronic dialogue with businesses…
• A common Internet portal for public reporting. • More than 424 forms and services from 40 Norwegian
government agencies are currently available through Altinn.• Since Altinn was launched in December 2003 more than 115
million forms have been submitted through the system.• 3,3 million unique users
…but does also contain significant services for citizens
What is Altinn (cont.)?
– Altinn is actually two things:
– 1 - A common portal for all communications between public authorities and businesses
– 2 - A toolbox for service production and e-communication for public sector in general
A common portal for communications between public authorities and businesses
• www.altinn.no is the portal where Norwegian businesses and citizens can find and use electronic forms and other e-services from government agencies
• The users receive feedback from the agencies in the portal, sent to their inbox in Altinn
• The users can use Altinn to carry out a fully electronic interaction with government agencies
Why Altinn?
Altinn was developed to make the businesses’ interaction with public sector easier through a simplified electronic dialogue, to the benefit for both parts:
• Reducing the administrative burdens• Competetiveness • Better Regulation • eGovernment:
• Efficiency• Effectiveness
Altinn – A gateway to public services
The Altinn portal will give businesses:
• Access to all the electronic services from public authorities
• An option to have all replies to applications, decisions, and more, sent to an electronic mailbox available in Altinn
• All public information relevant for businesses, linked with relevant forms etc.
