3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION.

>> MAIN HAZARDS.

Physical and chemical hazards: No special risks of flammability or explosion.

Specific hazards: Possible thermal burns when using hot. (*) R 31 : Contact with acids liberates toxic gas. (*) R 35 : Causes severe burns. (*)

PRODUCT CLASSIFICATION : CORROSIVE.

4 - FIRST-AID MEASURES.

Information in case of :

- Inhalation: In case of acute exposure, remove patient from polluted area and use resuscitation equipment if available.

- Skin contact: Remove any excess of product. Wash immediately with plenty of water and soap, rinse abundantly and copiously with water.

- Eye contact: Wash open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly for at least 15 minutes. Seek advice of an ophthalmologist.

- Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting.

Other information: Remove immediately any soiled or soaked clothing. IN ALL CASES, SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE.

5 - FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES.

6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES.

Personal precautions: Floor may become slippery from spilled product. Wear protective clothing, impermeable gloves and eye/face protection (for example a visor).

Environmental precautions: Prevent product from entering drainage system. Dam up and absorb on an inert material.

Methods for cleaning-up:

- Disposal: Sweep/shovel up residues. Collect residues in a labelled container. Wash the floor with copious quantities of water. Incinerate the residues at an approved waste disposal site only.

7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE.

>> HANDLING.

Technical measures/precautions: Provide water supplies, ocular fountains and showers near the point of use. Wear protective clothing, impermeable gloves and eye/face protection (for example a visor).

Occupational exposure prevention :

Ensure adequate aeration.

Other precautions : Avoid all contact with skin and eyes. Do not ingest.

Safe handling advice : Avoid any spillage onto the floor. Keep the floor clean. Avoid any contact with powerful oxidants.

>> STORAGE.

Storage conditions :

- Recommended: Store the hermetically sealed drums protected from the weather in a well ventilated place with electrical installations conforming to regulations and without naked heat sources. Keep the floor clean.

- Incompatible products: Hazardous reactions with powerful oxidants.

- Recommended: Stainless steel 316 L, mild steel.
