Why is the public works project not scheduled for the summer?
Underground storm drainage must be installed prior to building construction to eliminate possible flooding during construction
The road is the only route for the storm drainOther options were considered and were not feasible
To provide access to the community pool and baseball fields during the summer
Beck Elementary Traffic Flow During Construction
Portion of Parkview Drive will be closed between Beck and Medlin between the baseball field and the tennis courts beginning April 16th
Medlin MS and BNHS will not be accessible from the direction of Beck on Parkview Drive
Baseball fields and pool will be accessible from the North, (Medlin side)
All Beck traffic will come and go from the south (Durango Drive) A pedestrian sidewalk on the east side of Parkview (pool side)
remains open A pedestrian side walk will be open to Roanoke at all times

What is the procedurewhen I drop-off my child in the
morning?
Morning Drop-Off Procedures
Refrain from parking on the streetTravel to Beck north bound from Durango Make a left turn at designated entrance to the
front drive, SINGLE FILE in the morningPull all the way up, to the south end of the canopy,
to drop off your child. You will make a right turn out of the front drive onto Parkview Drive

What is the procedure when I pick-up my child in the
afternoon?
Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures
Refrain from parking in street Travel to Beck north bound from Durango Make left turn at designated entrance to the front drive,
DOUBLE FILE in the afternoon Pull all the way up, to the south end of the canopy Teachers will load approximately 12 cars at a time (6 for
each line) Cars will have an alternating pattern during dismissal: the
6 cars in the lane closest to the building will be released first, then the 6 cars in the lane closest to Parkview will be released
All cars will make right turn, SINGLE FILE on Parkview Drive
