General Information & Sale Notes

DARD RESTRICTIONS All vehicles must be disinfected thoroughly before arrivalat the market. This applies to both vendors and purchasers. Any vehicles notproperly cleansed will not be allowed entry into the market.

MOVEMENT LICENCE This is an export only sale. All vendors must have aveterinary service support certificate and an owner’s declaration from theirlocal DVO as well as the normal self written movement licence. These will berequired for inspection on arrival at Dungannon Mart.

ARRIVAL Sheep may arrive from 7.00am. Any prior arrangements can be madewith Dungannon Mart.

INSPECTION All sheep will be inspected by the Society's Official Inspectorbefore being allowed forward for sale. All sheep must have been paint brandedwith their lot number prior to inspection. Inspection will be from 7.00am - 9.00am

METHOD OF SALE All sheep will be sold in guineas.

CONDITIONS OF SALE All sheep will be sold subject to the Conditions of Sale ofthe British Charollais Sheep Society and to the Auctioneer's General Conditionsof Sale, which are available in the Auctioneer's office.

PEDIGREE CERTIFICATES Pedigree certificates relating to the sale will beavailable from the Auctioneer's office on the day of the sale.

PEDIGREE STATUS FOR MALES Would purchasers please note that there are twodifferent status of registration for Charollais rams, Full Pedigree and BirthNotified. All full pedigree rams are marked as such in the catalogue and havebeen upgraded by the breeder, all other rams have notified status only. Nopedigree certificates are issued for notified rams and these rams are not eligiblefor use within a pedigree flock until they are upgraded to full pedigree status. Iffull pedigree status is required then a fee of £20.00 plus VAT is payable to theSociety. The vendor will pay to upgrade all rams sold for 500 gns or above.

8.00am - 10.00am Inspection of sheep on arrival at the saleyardSheep not approved or arriving after the conclusion of inspection will not be eligible for the show or sale and must be removed from the centre.All sheep must have lot numbers marked on theirbacks before being admitted to the premises.

INSPECTION No sheep to be taken to penning without submission to inspection. Rejected sheep must not be penned and should be returned to trailers.Sheep having passed inspection must not beremoved from the premises until after the sale.Inspection to be finished by 10.00am sharp.

10.30am prompt Judging of Show Classes and ChampionshipsWhite coats must be worn.Only two sheep per flock may be shown in any class.Any lamb is eligible for the Group Class. Thewinning lambs from the Group Class are NOTeligible for the Championship unless previouslyqualified in an individual class. The Group Classwill be judged before the Championship. Untrimmed lambs - head and body MUST beuntrimmed, tail ‘may’ be squared.
