Norman Percevel Rockwell (February 3, 1894 – November 8, 1978) An American painter and illustrator during the 20th-century, Rockwell’s artworks were enjoyed because of his reflection on American culture. He is most known for the cover illustrations of everyday life scenarios he created for The Saturday Evening Post magazine for over 4 decades. In 1943, Rockwell created a series consisting of 4 paintings based on the Four Freedoms. Franklin Delano Roosevelt had introduced this concept in one of his speeches. One of the paintings, Freedom from Want, has come to portray the old American traditional Thanksgiving. It is usually referred to as the Norman Rockwell Thanksgiving. Over time, there have been many spoofs and variations on this image; I present some of them.
