Strategy of Nexia International as outlined by Gareth Pearce in Lisbon- the tax perspective (1) -
Strategy The Tax perspective
Continue growth in international membership
- United States (New York)- Eastern Europe
Strengthen existing representation
- Lack of specialization in tax matters- TC tries to help by identifying expert teams and by fostering exchange of information
Work towards common standards
- Apart from quality standards not as crucial as for audit work at the moment- Will become more important (e.g. multinational DD)

Strategy of Nexia International as outlined by Gareth Pearce in Lisbon- the tax perspective (2) -
Strategy The Tax perspective
Identify services with international appeal
- Tax compliance for multinationals audited by Big-4-firms- One-stop-only services for expats of multinationals in cooperation with relocation and insurance companies- Client care meetings- Health check on international structures
Encourage use of Nexia name
- Belonging to an international network crucial in picking up interesting clients
- Use of Nexia name for international tax work very helpful, but probably not as relevant as for audit work
Improve internal and external communication
- understanding of terms and of foreign tax concepts- relevance of Tax Meetings and Tax Conferences- Improvement of responsiveness of members
