As a company who truly believes in the work we do and the products we bring to the market, we are proud to have had such an impact on how kiteboarding equipment looks and performs these days.

Nobile introduced a number of innovations which set industry standards, such as the world’s first sandwich boards, flex engineering, the world’s first production split boards, and Fulcrum World’s first fully moulded quick release system, to name but a few. Our designs are infused with the spirit of the Human Concept philosophy, and our passion is to create products that provide users with equipment that not only meets their expectations, but also adapts to their talents, their style of riding, and the conditions in which they kite.

At the front of our mind is the kiteboarder, and we want to ensure that any equipment we produce is fully appropriate for him or her, taking into account their requirements, to aid progress, help deliver limitless fun, and primarily to make absolutely sure that he or she is comfortable and safe when riding.

We live in a time when mobility is hugely important. We travel in search of the perfect kite spots, or we find ourselves returning to our favorite place, time and time again. Whichever journey you are on, your gear should be light, easy to transport and multi-functional. Six years ago, the adventure lifestyle inspired us to create a line of split boards to make our traveling experience lighter, simpler, and cheaper… No more paying for oversized luggage, or bartering with grumpy check-in staff. Our split board systems put an end to all of that, enabling the boards to be packed with your normal luggage.

But the benefits were not only felt in air travel. Thanks to the fold system, the boards are easier to store, and can be efficiently packed in car storage racks, or even in a backpack when you’re motorcycling.

Taking the multifunctionality even further for the benefit of our customers, three years ago we launched the Infinity Split Foil – the first ever hydrofoil and wave split board combo on the market. And this year we present the twintip-style NHP Split Foil board, requested by many, allowing any kite trip the versatility of having a standard freestyle option, with the ability to switch to foiling when the winds ease off.

NOBILE HUMAN CONCEPT PHILOSOPHY

Right from the very beginning, the idea behind all of Nobile’s innovations was termed by the ‘ H U M A N C O N C E P T ’ philosophy. The point of this philosophy is to understand that it is the human who is the most important part of the system, because even the best equipment is not able to function by itself. It is the rider who connects all the elements of kitesurfing. In practice, it means that to develop the best equipment we have to analyze and understand the natural advantages and limitations of the human body and mind, and build the gear around them. It’s as equally important as the external aspects of the environment in which the equipment will be used: wind and water. It takes scientific knowledge from various disciplines to develop the best performing and truly ‘rider-friendly’ gear. In short, since the very beginning, performance and safety have been the key issues for us. We never wanted to just produce the kiteboarding equipment, we wanted it to be the best product on the market; the product that sets the standards in terms of safety, performance and comfort, and helps to popularize kiteboarding as a sport.

We believe that safety on the water and the joy of kitesurfing are the most important points, and that’s why most of our innovations were never patented or legally reserved exclusively for Nobile, and thanks to this they’ve already become industry-wide standards. It’s worth mentioning that, after developing the first kiteboards to utilize snowboard technology and the first fully molded safety system (Fulcrum), we introduced the E L L I P T I C A L P R O G R E S S I V E C O N C A V E ( E P C ) that combines the advantages of both a flat-bottomed board and concave, and provides very early planing; the D Y N A M I C A S Y M M E T R I C A L O U T L I N E , because we realized the heel-side edge of the kiteboard should work differently than the toe-side edge; and the H Y D R O D Y N A M I C R O C K E R L I N E to optimize the water drag (reflected in control over the board and your riding speed). GEN I and IINobile‘s unique NOBILE SPLIT CONNECTION system allows you to split the board apart in just a few seconds and pack it into a standard travel bag together with the rest of your clothing, to save on the costs of oversized luggage. The system provides a strong connection and offers premium durability without changing the performance of the board.

GEN IIIThe improved connection has been redesigned from scratch. Some structural elements have been reduced, while others have been replaced with a durable composite. It translates into reduced weight, as well as improved rigidity and durability.

In addition to this, a new shape allows very precise folding and comfortable unfolding of the board. APS (TECHNOLOGY ADDED PRE-STRESS)P R E - S T R E S S I N G means the intentional creation of initial tension in a structure, for the purpose of improving its strength properties. In kiteboarding, Pre-Stress allows the board to be loaded with energy during production. Storing the energy inside the board makes it a bit stiffer and far more torsion resistant, which results in astonishing pop on the water. Pre-Stress technology also allows us to build thinner and lighter boards which are actually more durable.

W H Y A P S ? We tested two boards of an identical shape, size and bottom shape. One of the boards was equipped with the APS system, while the second board’s construction was based on a milled core and mould.

The Nobile C L I C K & G O S Y S T E M is produced as a standard tool-free mount. It takes just a few seconds to mount/dismount your fins, pads and handle with just your bare hands, meaning a clunky screwdriver is no longer necessary. We redesigned the mounting system to provide a stronger connection between the accessories and the board; it’s also easier and faster to mount and demount them.

ADVANCED FLEX ENGINEERINGWe achieve a unique flex and stiffness effect, right where it’s required on the board, without any impact or consequence when it comes to the remaining part of the board and its features. In addition to that, the APS system improves torsion by 35% and product durability by 10%. Furthermore, we use less components and the boards are significantly lighter. This kind of development is based on over 20 years of experience, continuous testing, and consultations with top riders and kiteboarding enthusiasts.

WHY THE NHP SPLIT FOIL?Responding to a demand from our customers, we designed and produced a specific freeride twintip board for hydrofoiling, the world’s first split foil twintip, allowing you the versatility to enjoy a range of wind conditions with just one board, while also offering easier travel and lower transit costs that are enjoyed with a split board.

FREERIDE:The board has a 3D wood sandwich-construction and a precision designed X-Reactive Flex which, combined with the Hydrodynamic rocker line, translates into a seriously comfortable ride that is forgiving of mistakes, enhances comfort, and increases maneuverability. Rectangular channels on the tips and a slightly thicker edge guarantee super upwind performance and stability when riding. The Hydrodynamic rocker also allows the board to perform well in chop, while a Split W-Connection (4th generation) maintains the rocker line and the high-performance capabilities of the board. The split also enables easier transportation and storage and reduces extra luggage charges… it’s a true travel-friendly board.

A product that can be transported and enjoyed worldwide, the NHP Split board is Nobile’s unique answer to the needs of people who ride twintip style boards but, in the case of lighter winds, also want to continue to enjoy riding (or gliding) without having to buy an additional board specifically for each purpose.

There have been twintips in the past that have had the ability to connect a foil, but never a contemporary split design that fits with Nobile’s ideology of providing an effective, cost-friendly solution to traveling with a board and a foil.

On the water, the NHP Split Foil board’s flexibility (especially in the tips) allows for comfortable riding and simple tricks, with the board driving smoothly upwind, with no splashing. Soft on the knees when landing jumps, it is still stiff enough in the right places to not affect the glide of heavier foil riders. Thanks to the wake-style elevated scoop-rocker line, any loss of lift is smoothly regained, with the board being supremely comfortable to ride thanks to its narrow profile and thin rails, especially when gliding upwind or on waves.

It takes only 10 minutes to change the configuration from the twintip to the kitefoil option, requiring only one key to attach the hydrofoil using the Click & Go connection. NEW CARBON AND G10 FOIL WINGS COLLECTIONWhen designing our wings, we set ourselves the important goal that they should be stable, but at the same time be fast, light, durable and easy to maneuver too. With this goal in mind, we found ourselves inspired by the wings of the mesmerizing Kolibra bird… The course of nature is rarely wrong. These little birds have behind them tens of thousands of years of evolution that have gradually allowed them to achieve their astonishing flight parameters, flying at speeds of up to 120km per hour, with an ability to hover in one place, and move sideways and backwards in flight. What better inspiration for our R&D department, who were inspired by the exquisite natural design of the hummingbird’s wings, creating two separate hydrofoil wing lines: a standard foil with durable G10 material, and a carbon foil with curved ends.

Built of the light EVA foam, they’re not only light and don’t absorb water, but they are also comfortable and user-friendly. Their major advantage is the comfort and the ability to adapt to any foot shape. An ergonomic shape has been re-designed – the pad surface is the reflection of the human foot and combined with flexible plastic material it ensures even better foot grip during the ride, which gives you the solid control over the board. In addition, the platform at the toes improves control over the board and precision in transferring the body movement to the board. 3 stripes in straps enable free shaping their geometry, in order to fit the user’s foot perfectly. In addition, by changing their setting in three different positions, you can adjust them to any foot size. Especially designed straps firmly hold the foot in the pad without any uncontrolled movements, while additional pads on the edges improve the comfort in most delicate foot parts. Another layer was added in the toe area, in order to press the toes to the pad surface. Eco-leather guarantees the quality and solidity of the product, the neoprene inside improves the comfort, while the wide Velcro-fastened buckle makes the whole fastening solid and reliable. The strap itself is fastened inwards, which was proved by the ergonomics tests – it is also less prone to accidental catching in by the kite lines.

The pad base made of solid plastic has 4 installation holes which allow to change the angle of attaching them to the board, according to user preferences.

NOBILE CLICK&GO GRAB HANDLEThe Nobile Grab Handle has a completely new shape. It is smaller and more hand-fitted. Especially for our customers we have implemented a new material which guarantees durability and resistance to water absorbing. The handle still keeps its softness and flexibility in the case of accidental hit, so you don’t have to be afraid of injury. The most important thing is that the new handle is lighter and more comfortable in use. Made in highly-visible rescue orange colour, the handle will help you not only to carry the board, but also to locate it when lost on the water.

Nobile G10 fins are made of stiff glass composite which guarantees high durability. This material makes the connection between fins and the board very strong, while keeping the low flexibility of the fins. This ensures the high level of control when riding. Nobile G10 fins are compatible with the tool-free “Click&Go” mounting standard and can be used interchangeably with PA fins. The „ultra orange” colour of the fins is superbly visible from the distance, so losing your precious kiteboard in the water is impossible.

Nobile PA GF33 fins are made of 33% glass reinforced PA (Polyamide). Fins are made in extremely highly-visible „ultra orange” to let you know where did you drop your precious kiteboard. Wavy channels from tip-to-tip of the whole board stabilizes it throughout the ride, and guarantees excellent rider comfort. This aggressive bottom concept, dedicated for freestyle/wakestyle, allows the rider to perfectly control the board during the hardest of tricks. The sharp channel from tip-to-tip of the board make it ride super smoothly, like it’s on a rail. Thanks to this, you can ride with shorter fins (40mm) without no problems whatsoever. An additional concave improves board control even further.

The main objectives of the two long and deep channels from tip to tip are in strengthening and stiffening the whole construction, thus making this hydrofoil board stiff and durable. The edges of the board are bent downwards to prevent it from drifting when getting up and riding on the foil, while guaranteeing super control and a lot of fun throughout the ride when you’re without the foil.

DOUBLE TRUST RECTANGULAR CHANNELS

The technology behind the Double Trust Rectangular Channels has been worked out after profound analysis of the production stages. Their unique deep, rectangular shape ensures unprecedented grip in all directions, stability while maneuvering, and making the ride effortless at the same time.
