No home, no rights: supporting justice
for homeless people
Avvocato di strada experience
Strasbourg, February 2013
Born in Bologna in 2007 and operating today in 31 italian cities, Avvocato di strada is an association of lawyers. The challenge is to provide a free and qualified legal protection to homeless people who are every day deprived of their fundamental rights.
The association provides in every city a front office organized as a proper law firm in places such as kitchen-soups and dormitories, thus getting closer the lawyers and the homeless.
All the lawyers are volunteers: in case of victory the compensation costs are donated to the association in order to pay the future legal costs.
