WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MOLLY THE MOO COW?The First update of four from the MACURH No Frills 2013 Conference Staff!!

The No Frills 2013 Conference Staff has been diligently working with the different venues for the conference in preparing for the arrival of our No Frills 2013 Delegates. We are so thrilled to be hosting this conference and that the region felt we could handle this responsibility. The Conference Staff has spent its summer focusing on the No Frills 2013 Website, obtaining more sponsorship and finishing their ideas for the No Frills 2013 Conference.

In planning for the No Frills 2013: Where in the World is Molly the Moo Cow Conference, the Conference Staff has consulted the MACURH Regional Board of Directors to ensure that every aspect of the MACURH and NACURH Policy Books are being followed and upheld with this conference. A big focus that we’ve undertaken, is analyzing every idea and aspect of our

conference plan and bid, to minimize the cost to our No Frills 2013 Delegates. Under the consultation of the MACURH RBD, the No Frills 2013 Conference Staff has been working diligently on their budget.

We hope that you are as excited to visit UNO as the rest of our Conference Staff. We are all excited to see you at No Frills 2013 and at the MACURH 2012: MACURH the Musical Conference at the University of Nebraska Kearney.

A Word from our Philanthropy Chair... When organizing the No Frills bid we decided we wanted to give

back. We wanted to stay with our theme of Molly the Moo Cow, so we found this wonderful international organization called Oxfam America Unwrapped. For just a small 75 dollars this organization will send a cow to an impoverished country. These cows are desperately needed in order for families in poverty to survive on their own agriculturally and economically. We want to raise money for as many cows as possible, in order to do this we need YOUR school’s help!

Ways your school can raise money to make a difference for impoverished families:

• Have a penny war: set up teams and make jars. Team with the most points wins.

• Go to a local restaurant/ or store and ask if they would have a benefit night where 5 or 10% of their profits go to your school for the Oxford America Unwrapped.

• Collect change! Walk around the Residence Halls or suites and ask people to donate change to your cause.

• Have a bake sale.

• Have a car wash.

• Have a yard sale.

• Or you can simply go to local businesses and ask for donations

Housing Department SupportThe University of Nebraska Omaha, University Housing

Department has been a great support to the No Frills 2013 Conference Staff. The University Housing Department has made a large commitment of sponsorship to the No Frills 2013: Where in the World is Molly the Moo Cow Conference as well as giving the Residence on the Conference Staff a place to work on the Conference plans, support during the bidding process and continued support throughout the past couple months upon receiving the Conference Bid.
