The Government of Arab Republic of Egypt has announced EgyptianGovernment Scholarship for the academic year 2016-17 and invited applicationsfrom Indian scholars for Graduation/Post Graduation! Research. The last date forapplication is 30.06.2016.

Sustainable Rules

For

Accepting the Foreign Students nominated

for

the Arab Republic of Egypt scholarships

for the year 2016

Conditions for students applying for Higher Education ScholarshiQ:

"""' 1} The degree the nominated student got from any country around the world has to beequivalent to the Egyptian Thanaweya 'Amma (the certificate which is awarded upon the

completion of the Secondary stage).

2) The number of subjects studied by the student to acquire this certificate must be 8including the subjects qualifying him to join the faculty he wishes to join in Egypt. Studentsfrom Asia & Africa (except the Arab countries) who did not complete the required numberof subjects, may sit for exams for one or two subjects of the complementary elective ones

during their studying at the university.

3} The student must have got the minimal total for acceptance at the faculty he wishes to

join.

Required documents:

1) Degree certificate endorsed by the Egyptian embassy at the country from which thestudent got the degree.

2) Original certificate of birth or an official extract.3) Six recent personal photos.4) A copy of the nominated student's passport.S) A medical certificate endorsed by the Ministry of health at the country of the nominatedstudent certifying that .he is medically fit and free from any contagious disease (Aids, virus Cnervous and Psychological ails ... etc) and that he is physical and Psychologically sound (voidof any deformity). Such certificate has to be endorsed at the Egyptian embassy.

If any student apologizes for accepting the scholarship, his travelling ticket must besubmitted at the embassy, which in its turn shall return it to the cultural sector (Office of theforeign minister assistant deputy for the affairs of the Foreign Students, training andtechnical cooperation. The alternative nominated student shall not arrive until the ticket of

the original nominated person is returned and the embassy is notified on the final approvalfor accepting the alternative student.

Financial Provisions:

1) Nominated students are exempted from paying the studying charges in hard currencyimposed on the foreign students.

2) Scholarship rate (in EGP)

Statement Universities

Scholarship rate 255 monthly includingaccommodation at the Universityhostel

300 monthly in case the studentdoes not reside at the hostel

Graduation allowance One month grant paid upon return

Preparation allowance One month grant paid once

Caseswhen the Scholarship is ceased.

1) The Scholarship is ceased if the student fails an academic years more than twice during thestudying stage.

2) The student can be re-enrolled if he is in the last years or the years that proceed the last yearsafter submitting justifications that are accepted by the competent authorities (The ForeignStude nts com m ittee).

General Instructions:

1) Upon his arrival to Egypt, the student shall be subjected to a medical check-up and if it is provedthat he is not medically fit, he shall be deported to his country at his expenses.

2) Students shall not pursue any work and shall be wholly devoted to their studies.3) Students shall not pursue any other studies except the one he is nominated for.4) Students shall receive medical care at the university or governmental hospitals according to the

available places in such hospitals.

Selecting Choices:

Four choices shall be made from among the following according to the degree the student has

acquired (scientific or literary). It is noteworthy that the following faculties have a minimum total foradmission. The qualifying subjects for each faculty have also to be taken into account.

Binding Conditions for the Arabic language learning scholarships:

Nominees for such scholarships shall be at one of the intermediate or upper educational

stages or shall have completed their university studies.

It's preferable that the nominee has precedent knowledge of the Arabic language

The nominee shall fill in the attached data forms and return them to the administration

before his arrival to Egypt. A complete copy of his passport must be attached so that the

competent authorities can discuss approving his coming to Egypt.

The educational center affiliated to the central administration for the foreign student's affairsprovides the following:

Some elite university professors specialized in the Arabic language teaches at the center.Studying at the center passes through 3 levels (elementary, intermediate and advanced).

Every student sits for admission exams through which his level is determined.

The academic year starts in the 1st week of October each year and ends by the end of May of

the following year spanning eight successive months.

Every student receives a grant of 250 EGPand shall bear the expenses related to

transportation, accommodation and travelling tickets.

By the end of the academic year, students shall get an endorsed certification from the

center, indicating the studying period, and his success in the subjects of the level

determined for him at the onset of the year.
