P&F AGM Wednesday Evening @ 7:30pm

End of Year Mass Friday 9 December @ 3pm and Picnic 4-7pm Principal’s Award: A focused approach and attitude despite the end of year nearing. Dear Families,

It’s going to be a very busy couple of weeks as we have much to finalize in the coming days before we close out our amazing school year. Whilst most staff are firmly focused on report writing details, behind the scenes we have campers away, preparations for our end of year mass celebrations and Year 6 Graduation and continue plans for 2017. In all this busyness (4 staff, 8 parents and 100 students away on camp), I must congratulate our staff who have invested many hours writing, analysing data and consulting with many prior to submitting their exceptional comments. The staff know the children so well and have indeed encapsulated a terrific year of academic and personal growth. Reports will go home early next week.

On Thursday, the students celebrated an exciting ‘stepping up’ day, and need to be congratulated for the positive manner in which they welcomed their new teachers and embraced this transition in readiness for 2017. We also warmly and officially welcomed Miss Opasinis and Mr Culpepper onto our staff and remain most confident that they will be wonderful additions to our dynamic teaching staff.

Determined to see how much we can fit into our remaining weeks, our Year 3 & 4s have headed off on school camp. Despite long Term 4 fatigue, the students were thrilled to be away on camp with their friends. It’s worth noting that our staff were equally as excited, although time will tell upon their return. We must thank our generous staff and parent helpers for offering up their time at this busy time of year.

Mrs Tobin’s message: “All good down here. No dramas over-night. Cloudy this morning but we are in for another sunny day. The kids are having the best time.”

BOARD & P&F DRINKS 7PM – 6TH DECEMBER

This Tuesday, our two formal parent bodies will gather for drinks to celebrate another successful year at St. Joseph’s building and strengthening community. We are blessed to have these rich and diverse parent bodies so generously offering their time, expertise and energy.

PARENT HELPERS’ MORNING TEA WEDNESDAY 7TH DECEMBER AT 11AM

Each year, the staff prepare a special morning tea to thank our many helpers in our community. This is a small token of thanks for all the generous hours offered up by our parents. Although the timing is not great, we hope that parents are able to attend.

END OF MASS & BBQ FRIDAY 9TH DECEMBER AT 3PM

All families are welcomed and encouraged to attend our final school mass for 2016. This coincides with pick-up, so we anticipate many families will be able to attend this year. Don’t miss a seat as we farewell families, acknowledge our senior students and congratulate our new leaders for 2017. Thanks Miss O for preparing the mass. Look forward to seeing you at our wonderful end of year mass and picnic celebration, Simon Collis Principal Important afterthoughts…

We still have a number of outstanding items left over from fete. E.g. umbrellas, shade marquees, eskies, platters. We ask if these could please be picked up by the end of the week.
